Quick full package meal: Pumpkin leave sauce

Because I haven't been feeling well lately and was recommended to be eating more of fruits and vegetables. I decided to cook this simple and healthy recipe that I enjoy so much. This recipe always comes handy when you're looking for something quick, delicious and also save some extra money, and at the same time eat healthy, this meal is a full package. So im going to share how I prepare mine and I hope you like it.

Let's go through the ingredients I used im making it:

Ingredients

  • A bunch of pumpkin leaves
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon mixed natural spices
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • Tiny bit of ginger and garlic
  • 1/2 cooking spoon vegetable oil

Before starting to cook I like to have everything ready. So I wash the leaves carefully and sliced them into smaller pieces. I also sliced the onions and set aside

Next was pound the ginger and garlic to paste and also set aside

So while I has everything ready it was time to turn the heat on, I placed the pan on the heat and poured in the vegetable oil, then added the onions and after a few seconds the ginger and garlic paste.

Next I was throwing in the other ingredients, it doesn't really matter which one comes first just know that the leaves will come last

So when I added the leaves was after adding the other ingredients and stirring the.properly to mix. I added a little water to it too. I added the leaves and let it cook down for a while

At that it was already looking really nice and delicious. Just the way I like it

So I love mine paired with rice, so I boiled up some rice and used it to serve it.

You can also pair this with boiled yam, boiled cocoyam, boiled potatoes or even Garri, it works in many things and it's really simple to make and cost efficient. This pumpkin leaves has also been my favorite because of how delicious and how versatile it is in that you can use it in almost every meal, also the health benefits it comes with is priceless, it is also recommended for a person who wants to loose weight or has low iron.
