Wealth is not a destination.

Wealth belongs to the person who enjoys it and not to the one who keeps it. — Afghan Proverb

Greetings Hivers! I met a school friend last night and had an interesting conversation with him. So I thought I would share some interesting facts with you. What do you mean by wealth? What should it include? I think that most people in society are not rich. Many people think of wealth as having a lot of money. That is a misconception. In reality, we are never rich because what we think of as rich does not exist. When some people say that we want to be rich, they mean reaching a place where all of the things that are security, freedom, and happiness are complete. But money cannot give you that. So no matter how much money you accumulate, you will never feel rich. Because you are looking for something that money cannot buy.

If you cannot be satisfied with a little, you will never be satisfied with a lot. If you cannot enjoy simplicity, no matter how much luxury you have, it will not bring you happiness. You will keep increasing your grasp, changing your goals, and convincing yourself that if only you had a little more, I would feel secure. But that little more will never come. If you do that, you will never be rich. Because wealth is not what you have, but how you see it. If you are a person who lives in worry and fear, no matter how much money you get, your worry and fear will not go away.

We always think that if I had money, all these problems would be over. But instead, money only magnifies the feelings that are already inside you. Therefore, true wealth begins before having money. In this way, wealth means being free from worries and finally living as much as possible. Often, when a man reaches his goal, he suddenly changes his goal. No matter how much wealth he has, it will never be enough for him.

If you are truly lazy, you will often not enjoy the money even if you earn more than you need to work for. You will live a life of emptiness and purposelessness. Because of your laziness, you will not try to learn new things or challenge yourself. Money will only make you more inactive. If you are generous and like to help others, when you receive money, you will expand your generosity even more. Money will enhance your generosity and good qualities. Money will not make you rich.

As simple as this may sound, poverty is not a beautiful thing. But I am saying that wealth does not add happiness to any human being beyond the basic needs of food, water, shelter, and some security. It only adds complexity. The more you get, the more you get. The more you get, the more complexity you add to our lives.

If by getting rich you mean reaching the end of your efforts, you will never get there. The truth is that you can only become rich in the present moment. That is by seeing the richness of what already exists. The striving man is often still attached to his own mind. He is always working, always planning, and ultimately always worrying. If you are also someone who tries to get your wealth as if it is somewhere else, at some other time, you will never be rich. Because there is no such richness in the world.
