Here is my first time joining for the weekend engagement initiative. It was pleasure to came here seriously. I would like to thank @galenkp for creating a space in this community to create weekend content with such beautiful topics. By joining this for the first time, I hope to continue with different topics on weekends. This time, I choose the topic What book are you reading this weekend and why? It is a topic that is really relevant to me. Because when I have free time, I like to read. But I am not interested in reading silly novels or meaningless books. I especially take my free time to read biographies of advanced people, positive thinking books, and books in the field of business management.
What book are you reading this weekend and why?
This weekend I eagerly read the Divishakti Business Management Training Program book. This is a book written in Sinhala. I usually read books with complex English words very little. This is a Sinhala translation book written by suupported by business edge programme of international finance corporation. This is a very clear presentation of the procedures and planning income from a simple business to a complex business.
Reading books is one of the most inspiring habits I have seen and heard in my life. If you make reading a habit, don't forget it, it becomes a habit like alcohol. I won't say it again, okay. If you get to read one book with positive thinking, you will definitely want to read another book like it. Not only that, we can learn a new lesson in every chapter. I have heard how reading books has clearly changed their ugly lives.
In fact, a person who reads books is able to live in many characters found in books in addition to their own character because they are able to study the nature of many characters. Book readers are not tempted to criticize the behavior of others. Nowadays, many people do not read books because it is difficult to find time for it. But if you manage your time properly, you can read even a few pages a day. Starting is the most important thing. Morning time is suitable for this.
This business management book covers several main topics. The importance of financial management in a business is first explained because it is an essential task. Not keeping records of a business's transactions not only slows down the development of the business but also turns everything into a mess. Here, equations are even shown to calculate the gross profit percentage. The fact that it is explained in a simpler way with examples makes it appealing even to a novice. It shows that customer service is an essential factor for the development of a business. It explains that customer service is important for increasing revenue, enhancing the business image, and building a stable customer base. Eight main strategies caught my attention here. Namely, people, process, products, environment, efficiency, convenience, communicate, and technology. I also like to read the book because separate points are presented about them.
