Hello Hive Open mic family! It’s always a joy to be back for another week of music. This week’s theme — Future — immediately made me think of hope, anticipation, and love for what is yet to come.
Hola familia del Hive open mic! Siempre es una alegría regresar para otra semana de música. El tema de esta semana — Futuro — me hizo pensar enseguida en la esperanza, la ilusión y el amor por lo que aún no ha llegado.
For this round, I chose a song that beautifully captures that feeling: “Duduke” by Simi. It’s a love song for an unborn child — a melody filled with dreams, prayers, and gentle expectation. In Duduke, the future is not abstract; it’s deeply personal, carried in the heart and sung into being with love
Para esta ronda elegí una canción que capta de forma hermosa ese sentimiento: “Duduke” de Simi. Es una canción de amor dedicada a un bebé que aún no ha nacido — una melodía llena de sueños, oraciones y dulce esperanza. I performed this song with voice and guitar, trying to keep its tenderness intact. There’s something magical about singing to the future — to someone or something not yet seen, but already loved.
