Hi guys! It’s good to be back here again this week. Lately, I’ve been posting more often in the Vibes community, but Hive Open Mic has always had a special place in my heart. And this week’s theme—healing—was the perfect reason to return.
¡Hola a todos! Qué alegría volver a estar aquí esta semana. Últimamente he estado más presente en la comunidad de Vibes, pero Hive Open Mic siempre ha sido un espacio muy especial para mí. Y el tema de esta semana—la sanación—fue la excusa perfecta para volver
Healing is such a big word, and it doesn’t always look the way we expect. Sometimes it’s loud and clear, but other times it’s quiet—slow and unnoticed, almost like a seed that grows underground. And often, music is part of that process.
Sanar es una palabra grande, y no siempre se ve como esperamos. A veces es algo claro y fuerte, pero otras veces es silencioso—lento e invisible, como una semilla que crece bajo tierra. Y muchas veces, la música es parte de ese proceso.
For this week, I decided to share a song called “Yo hago nuevas todas las cosas”, originally by Coro Misión País, a Catholic missionary choir in Chile. I got to know this song while I was in Chile myself, and since then, it’s been a kind of spiritual anchor.
Esta semana quise compartir una canción que se llama “Yo hago nuevas todas las cosas”, del Coro Misión País, un coro misionero católico de Chile. Conocí esta canción durante mi tiempo en Chile, y desde entonces ha sido como un ancla espiritual para mí.
The lyrics are taken from the book of Revelation—“Behold, I make all things new.” It’s such a short phrase, but it carries so much weight. It speaks of hope, of restoration, and of the constant possibility of beginning again—even when everything seems lost.
La letra está inspirada en el libro del Apocalipsis—“He aquí que yo hago nuevas todas las cosas.” Es una frase corta, pero tan llena de sentido. Habla de esperanza, de renovación, y de la posibilidad constante de volver a empezar—aun cuando todo parezca perdido.
I accompanied myself with the guitar this time, as I often do. There’s something about the simplicity of just voice and strings that helps the message come through more clearly, at least for me. This wasn’t just a song to sing—it felt like a prayer.
Esta vez me acompañé con la guitarra, como suelo hacer. Hay algo en la sencillez de solo voz y cuerdas que, al menos para mí, permite que el mensaje llegue con más claridad. No fue solo una canción que canté—fue más bien una oración.
