Hello hi everyone how are you greetings to all of you and welcome to my blog. Hope you guys all are well and making great artwork for the contest. This is also my entry for the weekly contest in @splinterlands. I always participate in the contest with new character and new artwork for the community. Today I searched a interesting character which name is Giant Roc 🦅 .It's attracted my attention with elephant 🐘. Giant Roc is also looking like Eagle . You guys can see my inspiration. Qualities
I have also read about this character and I want to share with all of you. I was also shocked to read about it's qualities. It's known a bird of prey. It's also have presence in Indian epics. There is also Giant Roc mentioning in Arabic fairy tales like Abdal Rehman and Sindbad. Giant Roc is believe to be so huge that it can carry an elephant 🐘 and other big animals for food. They also can generate wind blown by its wings.
It is believe that when it appears at the sky it can cover the sun and bring the darkness at the day time. It is known as a eagle in the whole world. But some are in very big size. I also have read about it that it carry elephant so high then throw and they spread into pieces on the ground. Then it enjoyed their prey in very leisure. I hope you learnt about this character enough so now I want to share my process of making this character. Let's start.
Process
I opened my sketchbook and took led pencil then I started to draw sketch of Giant Roc. I started from the peak of it which is in open style. Then I draw a big dangerous eye at the one side.
The process of this character is very short and easy. I draw feathers of neck and the both sides that are looking collective in the picture because of flying in the sky. Feathers are the main part of the character because it fly higher just because of their feathers.
Later on I draw a cute and innocent small size elephant which Giant is holding with the help of paws. I draw paws on the elephant with the big nails. I completed it with led pencil then I draw with black pointer and remove led pencil for neatness.
Now I started to add colours in the sketch for looking it's more beautiful 😍. First I filled eye nail and peak in yellow and black colour.
I used pencil colours in the feathers like orange and red. Then I filled elephant in grey shade. I used led pencil for blending the grey colour in the elephant.
At the last step of colouring I used pink colour for filling the remaining flying feathers.
I completed my artwork soon in just one hour. The sketch of Giant Roc with small elephant is looking gorgeous 😻. Now you guys can see final look here.
