This is a species of dragonfly, whose scientific name is Diplacodes trivialis, English name Ground Skimmer. Its black and yellow stripes on its body, transparent delicate wings and large eyes seem to give it a unique beauty.

This species is commonly found in water bodies, rice fields and grassy fields in South and Southeast Asia, including Bangladesh. Small insects, spiders and mosquitoes are their main food. They fly very quickly to catch their prey and return immediately.
