Hello, #HiveBr!!!

What a great pleasure it is to return to this space, today under the influence of orchids. In my house, we love these flowers, symbols of delicacy but also of that enduring beauty.

Searching for an interesting species, I found this one, which appears in long spikes and a profusion of tiny flowers. Looking at it immediately reminds me of traditional Japanese ornaments, kanzashi, which have been part of fashion since the 17th century, kimono accessories, and whose meaning suggests the social status of the lady who wore them in her hair.

Since then, kanzashi have been made as floral hair arrangements, handcrafted and usually personalized, using metal or silk sheets.

I want to present this image, which is part of my entry for contest #38 today, as a natural kanzashi, adorning the hair with leaves and fine roots of its own plant.

Until another opportunity.

I send you hugs of light.
