Some time after the premiere of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Castle, I finally had the opportunity to go to the cinema and enjoy this first chapter of the trilogy that will bring an end to a story that has won over anime fans around the world. Today I want to share my impressions with you without spoilers, so that everyone can enjoy their own experience.

Hoy quiero compartirles mis impresiones sin spoilers, para que cada quien viva su propia experiencia.
From the beginning, I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster, going from moments of frantic combat to deeply reflective moments that touched very personal chords. What I take away most from this first film are the bonds that unite each character. Humans or demons, they are all tied to something that drives them to act. In particular, the bond between Tanjiro and Nezuko is the true origin of this story and remains the pillar that holds everything together even when the world is falling apart.
Desde el inicio sentí que estaba en una montaña rusa emocional, pasaba de momentos de combate frenético a instantes profundamente reflexivos que tocaron fibras muy personales. Lo que más rescato de esta primera película son los vínculos que unen a cada personaje. Humanos o demonios, todos están atados a algo que los impulsa a actuar. En especial, el lazo entre Tanjiro y Nezuko que es el verdadero origen de esta historia y que sigue siendo el pilar que sostiene todo incluso cuando el mundo se desmorona.

Visually, Ufotable once again exceeds my expectations. The animations are simply dazzling, with colors that seem newly discovered, impossible camera movements, and a sense of depth that made me feel like I was inside the Infinite Castle itself.
As a music lover, I can't help but mention the soundtrack. Each piece is perfectly intertwined with the scenes, elevating every beat and every silence. It may seem like a minor detail, but for me it was the touch that added that extra something to the experience.
En el apartado visual, Ufotable vuelve a superar mis expectativas. Las animaciones simplemente deslumbran con colores que parecen recién descubiertos, movimientos de cámara imposibles y una sensación de profundidad que me hizo sentir dentro del propio Castillo Infinito.
Como amante de la música, no puedo dejar de hablar de la banda sonora. Cada pieza está perfectamente entrelazada con las escenas, elevando cada golpe y cada silencio. Puede parecer un detalle menor, pero para mí fue el toque que terminó de darle un plus a la experiencia.

Something that caught my attention is the current trend in cinema to “romanticize” villains. Demon Slayer is no exception, and I say this because the focus on Akaza is extensive and emotionally charged. At the time, it seemed a little long-winded to me, but now that I've had time to think about it, I recognize that giving him an ending that shows his humanity without turning him into a hero is a powerful gesture. In the end, that's what Tanjiro has been conveying to us from the beginning: empathy even towards demons.
Algo que me llamó la atención es la tendencia actual del cine de “romantizar” a los villanos. Demon Slayer no se quedó atrás y lo digo porque el enfoque en Akaza es extenso y cargado de emoción. En el momento me pareció un poco prolongado, pero, ya con la mente en frío, reconozco que darle un final que muestre su humanidad sin convertirlo en héroe es un gesto poderoso. Al final, eso es lo que Tanjiro nos ha transmitido desde el inicio: empatía incluso hacia los demonios.
As a fan of this story, I think it's a flawless start to the trilogy. I expected nothing less from this first installment. Now we just have to wait for the next movies, because the ending makes it clear that defeating Muzan in an environment as unpredictable and labyrinthine as the Infinity Castle will be no easy task.
