BEER + PIZZA (eng)

Hello BEER community, I'm just stopping by to share a moment, because there should always be time for a beer and sharing with friends. # All through Holy Week, I was working with the publishing house where I work, at the book fair at the Monument to the Revolution in the city center. Saturday was a long and very hot day, so when I finished my workday at 8:30 p.m., I thought it was a good time for a Modelo stout. After such a long day, I felt I deserved it. #  So I went out with some friends after work, and we walked to the "Alameda Central," right in the historic center, and we went for some beers and pizza—the perfect combination for me. # Although I would have liked it to be colder, it wasn't that cold. In Mexico City, it's difficult to get a really cold beer or drink, and not all places have ice. Since the climate tends to be temperate, it's considered that the drinks might not be as cold as those of us who come from warm climates, like myself, naturally prefer them. #  In any case, my Munich-style dark lager (delicious) refreshed my day and was a necessary and perfect match for the pizza we ate at Cancino, with spicy ingredients like Italian sausage, pepperoni, Calabrian salami, and chili-based matcha sauce. # #  That beautiful place and my dark beer after a somewhat busy day made all the difference in my day, and made it all worthwhile. # # P.S. Here in pizzerias they serve chili peppers with their pizzas. Eating these green chilies with beer greatly intensifies their flavor.
