The set of photographs I'm sharing with you today was created with the models from a modeling academy I'm currently working with. The academy's professor contacted me because they were holding a challenge and needed a photographer.
The challenge was for the models to enter the set already prepared and ready for action, as they literally had only 60 seconds to strike whatever poses they wanted (with no guidance). I was allowed a maximum of 3 shots per model.
El set de fotografia que hoy les voy a compartir lo hice junto a los modelos de una academia de modelaje con la que estoy trabajando, el profesor de la academia me contactó porque iban a hacer un reto y necesitaban un fotografo.
El reto consistia en que los modelos tenian que pasar al set de fotos ya preparados y listos para la accion pues literalmente iban a tener solo 60 segundos para hacer las poses que ellos quieran (sin guia) y yo tenia que hacer un maximo de 3 disparos por cada modelo.
The models first came in as couples, getting 60 seconds for the couple's photo and then 60 seconds for their individual photos.
Los modelos primeron pasaron en pareja, tenian 60 segundos para las foto de pareja y luego 60 segundos para las fotos individuales.
The goal of this challenge was for the models to have a controlled experience of what a real photoshoot is like. When it's their turn to work for a brand or a contract, no one will guide them, they need to know how to perform in front of the camera under pressure.
El objetivo de este reto era que los modelos vivieran la experiencia controlada de lo que es una sesion de fotos real, pues cuando sea su turno de trabajar para alguna marca o contrato nadie los va a guiar, ellos deben saber desenvolverse frente a la camara bajo presion.
Of all the photos we took that day, we only selected 1 photo per couple and 1 individual photo.
De todas las fotos que hicimos ese dia, solamente escogimos 1 foto por pareja y 1 foto individual.
It was very interesting to see that each model had their own unique personality and, therefore, their own way of expressing themselves in front of the camera.
Fue muy interesante ver que cada modelo tenia su propia personalidad y por ende su manera de expresarse frente a la camara.
While all the models were going through the set, the instructor of the modeling academy was observing and analyzing them very closely to figure out who was ready to move to the next level.
Mientras todos los modelos pasando al set de fotos, el instructor de la academia de modelaje los observaba y analizaba a todos muy atentamente para poder darse cuenta de quienes están listos para pasar al siguiente nivel.
Some did better than others, but in the end, we achieved good results with everyone.
Algunos lo hicieron mejor que otros pero al final de todos obtuvimos buenos resultados.

I took all the photos with my Canon R8 camera, an 85mm lens, and a single light source.
It was a very interesting day of work, as even though we were literally all working against the clock and under pressure, we managed to get good results.

Fue un dia de trabajo muy interesante ya que aunque literalmente todos trabajamos a contra reloj y bajo presion logramos obtener buenos resultados.
