Cuando decidimos emigrar, la opción de hacerlo por vuelo directo era tan costosa, que optamos por hacerlo a escalas y combinando trayectos por tierra y aire. Haciéndolo de esta manera invertimos por los 4, la misma cantidad de dinero equivalente a un solo pasaje aéreo desde Venezuela.
La única desventaja eran los tiempos de espera, de los cuales, el más fuerte fue pasar todo un día en el aeropuerto de Sao Paulo, ya que llegamos a las 10 am y embarcaríamos en el vuelo con destino a Buenos Aires a las 9:00 pm, así que tocaba estar todo el día dentro del aeropuerto, o aventurarse a salir a la ciudad más cercana y volver, cosa que particularmente me dio miedo porque llevábamos mucho equipaje, además de andar con los dos hijos, y pensábamos que los íbamos a agotar de más (cosa que al final nos pasó igual).
Una de las cosas positivas del aeropuerto, era que contaba con un hotel dentro de sus instalaciones, así que decidimos pagar una hora de una habitación para descansar y bañarnos, de manera de recuperar un poco las energías, aunque la verdad fue que los niños estaban con la adrenalina a mil y no quisieron recostarse.
En el caso de decidirse por esta opción, si en algún momento les llegase a ocurrir, lo mejor es dejar esa hora para cuando falte un par de horas para despegar, pues para nosotros terminó siendo algo en contra, ya que cuando estábamos realmente cansados, no teníamos donde estar y todavía faltaba mucho tiempo por esperar.
La ventaja es que el aeropuerto es grande, además de tener wifi y centros para recargar la batería del celular y las notebooks. De haber tenido mi cuenta de Hive para ese entonces, de seguro hubiera sido capaz de generar mucho contenido mientras esperaba.
Tiene tiendas de todo tipo, además de una enorme feria de comida, y para esos días había una enorme maqueta de todo el sistema de pistas, además de murales en los que podías leer (si sabes portugués) parte de la historia sobre cómo fue construido.
Por suerte, luego de probar unas milkshakes de Açaí (una fruta autóctona de Río de Janeiro) y comernos algo rico, pudimos caminar por el aeropuerto, con las maletas en uno de los carritos que son portaequipaje, además de tomar fotos para el recuerdo y esperar en alguna de las sillas, nuestro turno de subir, ya con los hijos en brazos, pues hasta al más grande tuvimos que alzar pues solo quería dormir.

The only disadvantage was the waiting time, of which, the hardest was to spend a whole day at the Sao Paulo airport, since we arrived at 10 am and we would board the flight to Buenos Aires at 9:00 pm, so we had to spend the whole day inside the airport, or venture out to the nearest city and return, which particularly scared me because we were carrying a lot of luggage, besides walking with the two children, and we thought we were going to exhaust them too much (which in the end happened to us anyway).
One of the positive things about the airport was that it had a hotel within its facilities, so we decided to pay for an hour of a room to rest and bathe, in order to recover a little energy, although the truth was that the children were with adrenaline and did not want to lie down.
In case you decide for this option, if it ever happens to you, it is best to leave that time for when there are a couple of hours to take off, because for us it ended up being something against us, since when we were really tired, we had nowhere to be and there was still a long time to wait.
The advantage is that the airport is large, besides having wifi and hubs to recharge cell phone batteries and notebooks. Had I had my Hive account at the time, I would have been able to generate a lot of content while waiting. It has stores of all kinds, plus a huge food fair, and for those days there was a huge model of the entire track system, plus murals where you could read (if you know Portuguese) part of the history of how it was built.
Luckily, after tasting some Açaí milkshakes (a fruit native to Rio de Janeiro) and eating something delicious, we were able to walk around the airport, with our suitcases on one of the luggage carts, besides taking pictures for the memory and waiting in one of the chairs, our turn to go up, already with our children in our arms, because even the oldest one had to be lifted up because he just wanted to sleep.
