My daughter took this picture
As the title of this post rightly points out, this is one of @galenkp's writing topics for week 239 and one that has been an ongoing concern for me for some years now, after several years have passed since I turned 65.
Perhaps for those who haven't reached that age yet, thinking and planning what they will do or what they want for the future is a little easier. For me, the future is here and now.
A year has just ended, and in a few months I will be a year older, and I have already spent a few years after the years I mentioned. I will do many things, or rather I will continue to do many things because I need and want to live for many more years.
In Cuba, for example, life expectancy is 78.3 years for men and 80.57 years for women until 2024. Then I will live, according to these calculations, 8.57 years more than I have already lived.
These are only estimated figures and calculations that do not apply to everyone. It is largely up to me to keep my life, because you know that unforeseen events should not be ignored.
In order to do so, I have set myself many goals, from taking care of my personal health, healthy nutrition as far as I can, physical exercise, as well as my spiritual needs and my personal satisfaction. This is walking, visiting beautiful places where I can be in contact with nature; I want to travel, one of my greatest desires, and to continue writing my memoirs in Hive, something in which I have found great satisfaction.
I have always thought and worked towards leaving a beautiful and memorable mark on my family, my friends and all those who have known me over the years.
My physical appearance is something to which I dedicate time; I take care of my hair so that my grey hair looks nice; I like to dress according to the ladies of my age; and above all, I like to use good perfumes.
As a curious fact, I will add that longevity is predominant in my family, as my mother is now 93 years old and many of her relatives are over 100 years old, and this has encouraged me to want to become like them.
I also want to live to see my daughters achieve their dreams and aspirations, as well as my grandson, and I even want to see my great-grandchildren born and grow up.
An important goal is to help keep my family together and to keep the love alive, to keep my mother's birthday like her ancestors, and to stay together with my husband for many more years to come.
As you can see, these are not otherworldly things, but rather simple things, and I think that achieving them depends on the desire and strength with which I approach this, something that I will undoubtedly achieve as long as life allows me to do so.
Thank you very much for reading this far. And may life continue to bring you much joy.
