Hello Splinterlands fam!

Welcome to another Splinterlands post and I hope all of you are doing well in life and enjoying an amazing day with your loved ones. However, for us splinterlands players, the pressure is rising as we are going towards the season end of both ranked and frontier mode. If we take a look at the season clock, fewer than 9 days remain for this ongoing ranked season to meet its end, though it feels like we just witnessed the last season's end just yesterday. Anyway, those of you who are actively playing in this ranked season must already be pushing your trophy count and trying to climb the trophy ladder to reach your goals. Now, whatever goals you guys have set for yourselves, be it to reach a certain league tier or to compete for a glorious spot at the champion top leaderboard, you must start pushing and shoving if you are not already. Because in Splinterlands, time flies faster and before you even blink, you may find yourself in the middle of a season-end bloodbath, when all the OG players with their unbeatable decks come in during the last 2-3 days and throw everything they have in their arsenal into the arena. So, it's always better to chase and reach your goals as early as possible and then watch the arena from a spectator's seat.

Now, on the other hand, I guess many of you are also enjoying the newest Frontier mode, which launched recently in the splinterlands game, and have been growing your Foundation cards. For those who don't know, the Frontier mode is the newest gameplay mode in the splinterlands universe, and unlike other modes, this one is a completely free-to-play mode, where you do not need to own or invest in NFT cards or tokens to play and earn in this mode. Yes, you heard me right, you can start playing this mode and earning foundation edition cards as rewards without spending a single dime. For anyone who is interested, you just have play the campaign mode in the game which will earn you a decent amount of foundation cards for free, and then you can use those cards to start playing this new ranked PvP mode and earn rewards in form of foundation card draws, Foundation packs or even rare black and arcana foil cards from raffle if you get lucky.

Now, talking about my own activities in this new mode, I have been playing the frontier mode for the last 12 raffles straight, and so far, I have been able to build a decent collection of foundation cards in my account. But sadly, so far I haven't won anything from the raffle in spite of entering them all with a decent no of entries, as you can see from the screenshot above. Right now, I am playing in Gold I league tier with a trophy count of 3,120 and defending my tier spot for a while now. For playing in the highest league tier in frontier mode, I get rewarded with 1 foundation pack and 3 raffle entries every time I complete a mission. So, whenever I manage to complete all 3 daily missions, I get the maximum daily reward of 3 foundation packs and 9 raffle entries. Now, so far, I have upgraded all my foundation archons to level 3 and right now working on upgrading my monsters to match my archon’s max monster supporting levels. Today, I have completed all three missions and collected my packs and entries and so far, I have gathered a total of 30 raffle entries. Having almost 4 days in hand before this ongoing raffle meets its end, I think I can collect at least 25-30 more raffle entries, but sadly, my battle energy bar has depleted to a dangerously low level, so I have to take care of it as well and move on with a more balanced approach from now on.

Now, talking about my foundation card collection, I am fully focused on upgrading every single archon and monster to their max level and after upgrading my archons to level 3, I am currently working on upgrading my monster cards to archon level 3. In my initial days, I used to rely on the daily rewards to get foundation cards, but later I realised I am going behind doing it organically, as many players are spending money to buy these cards off the market at a cheap rate and quickly upgrading their cards to higher levels. So, I also decided and started buying them one by one and have already come a long way and have upgraded a handful of important cards. Just recently, in one of my previous posts, I shared that I have bought and upgraded all my water element cards to archon level 3. Right now, I am working on my Neutral element, legendary and Epic rarity cards and have already upgraded all my neutral cards to archon level 3 support, as you can see from the screenshot above.

My current goal is to upgrade all the legendary and epic cards to level 2 and as you can see from the images above, I have already upgraded all my legendary cards except Agniavan Salamander and Glam Root to level 2. For spic cards also, I have bought all the required cards to upgrade all of them, except only the Lenore Nevermore to level 2. No doubt that all of these newly upgraded cards are helping me a lot on the battlefield and I am already above 3000 trophies in this ongoing season, which further proves it. For the rest legendary and epic cards, I am keeping an eye on the market for better deals and may buy them soon. After completing the current task, I will move on to Rare and Common rarity cards and I don't think they will cost me much to upgrade them.

The latest purchase that I made just today in splinterlands is buying the powerful A’lan Musketeer. This neutral element legendary card is one of the most fierce attacking cards in this foundation edition and a must-have card to be competitive in the frontier mode. This card’s attack type is ranged and the best feature of this card is its double strike ability. Upon upgrading this card to level 2, this card’s attack power increased to 2. So, it thus throws 2 x 2 attacks each round, which sends a large amount of damage to enemy cards, and if not kill them. Now, this card, as expected, is one of the most expensive cards in Foundation Edition and was selling for 0.791$ per CC in the market. I already had a 1 CC card in my collection and needed another 2, so I bought the 2 lowest listed cards and used the third-party marketplace monstermarket.io to purchase these 2 cards. Both of these cards cost me a total of 1.582$ or 2610.13 DEC and for the purchase, I got 62.643 DEC as cashback. Anyways, now my A’lan is max level and it's time to bring some mayhem to the frontier arena with my newest weapon in the arsenal.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about upgrading my foundation collection. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
