Now, for those of you who are regular and dedicated splinterlands players, right now we are in the middle of an ongoing ranked season and looking at the season clock, only around 8 days left for this current ranked season to meet its end. So, my fellow splinter warriors, whatever goals you have set for yourselves in this ongoing season, either to climb to a certain league tier and book some lucrative reward chests, or to secure a glorious spot in the top champion leaderboard, I guess you are working hard on that and progressing towards your goal. But you have to hurry, as there’s not much time left before the season end bloodbath begins.

On the other hand, I guess many of you have already started playing the brand new Frontier mode and been collecting foundation edition cards. This new ranked mode in splinterlands is a completely free to play mode. Yes, you do not require to invest anything to start playing this mode and enjoy the thrill of splinterlands. You do not need to buy or rent cards or SPS can complete playing the free campaign mode for a bunch of free foundation cards, and then you can use these cards to start playing the frontier mode. In frontier mode, there’s daily 3 rewards to be claimed, each of which you can claim after winning 5 ranked matches. Apart from these daily rewards, there are also league tier rewards, where you will get a bunch of reward chests every time you advance to a new league tier for the first time in a single season. Now, the higher league tier you enter, the more or better reward chests you will receive, which increases your chances of receiving more and better rarity cards. Apart from these 2 types of rewards, there’s also a big raffle that happens every week where all the frontier entries that players earn goes in the raffle and lucky players win rare gold and black foil arcane cards if their entry gets chosen in the raffle. So as you can clearly see, though it is a completely free to play mode, you can win rewards in so many different ways and whether you want to upgrade your earned cards to perform better in the frontier mode or list them for sale to earn money, that is completely in your hand. If you are not already playing this awesome new gameplay mode, you are missing out big time, my friend.

Now, talking about my own performance so far in Frontier mode, gladly, just yesterday, I have successfully reached the highest league in this mode - the Gold league. In frontier mode, the highest league you can reach is the Gold league and as expected, reaching the Gold league also unlocks the best possible rewards for you. After several weeks of continuously playing this mode almost on a daily basis, I have finally reached my desired spot and not to mention, I am now earning way better rewards than what I used to earn in Bronze or even Silver league. This happened mainly because of 2 things as I think - first of all my current foundation card collection which is in a very good shape, where I am only missing a couple of legendary and epic cards but am able to upgrade many cards including 3 archons.

Looking at the reward structure of Gold league, the moment you touch 1900 trophies and enter the glorious Gold III league tier, the quality of rewards that you receive gets a solid upgrade. Upon entering in the Gold league, you do not get cards anymore but instead, its a foundation booster pack. This foundation booster pack, just like any other booster pack, contains 5 foundation edition cards with minimum one of them a rare card. So from now on, upon completing every reward mission, I will be receiving a booster pack, with a chance of max 3 packs to be won everyday. Not only that, but I am also getting 3 frontier entries per reward claim whereas I used to get only 1 entry per reward claim in Bronze and 2 entries in Silver league. No doubt this will increase my chances of receiving a rare foil foundation card immensely now. In this ongoing frontier season, I have already accumulated 40 entries so far and having another almost 1 day in hand, if all goes well, I think I can manage at least another 6 or even 9 if I get fortunate enough to complete all 3 reward missions tomorrow. So far, I haven't won any rare foil foundation cards, so this time, I am crossing my fingers and wishing hard for a shiny foil. Let’s see if my dream comes true.

Yes, my luck has finally shone on me as I have finally got one of the very important cards that I am missing in my collection. Yes, I am talking about the legendary Mystic Scaleweaver, the high powered magic monster from water element which is one damm card that was causing me to lose so many matches. Apart from that, I have also received a bunch of archon cards, 1 gold foil and a handful of rare and common cards. Overall, I am really happy with my progress and it has injected even more energy into me to continue playing Frontier mode and keep upgrading my collection. Hopefully, soon I will be dominating the top league tier Gold I, but let’s see how much more time it requires for me to reach there.
