### Hello Splinterlands fam!
Welcome to another fresh splinterlands post and I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the day with your family and friends. Now, of you happen to be a splinterlands player just like me, chances are that either you have already reached your goal for this ongoing ranked season and now enjoying the Sunday chilling vibe, or you are playing aggressively, throwing all your best cards in the lineup and trying to gain just some handful of more trophies to touch your goal. Well, if you are in the red zone, then it’s good to focus even more, because right now when I am writing this post, only 1 day and 3 hours left for this current ranked season to meet its end. So, I hope you reach there before time and also finished any unfinished business in the brawl, tournaments Or the new Frontier mode section before taking a leave for Sunday!
Now, let’s talk about Frontier mode which is nondount, the new and hot talk of the town. For those who are hearing it the first time, Splinterlands has recently released a brand new Ranked competitive format in their gameplay universe, which is called the Frontier mode. This new mode is completely free to play and yes, you heard me right. You don’t require to own or rent any type of assets or tokens to start okaying this mode. This mode can be only played with special Foundation edition cards, which can be earned by playing both the free campaign mode and frontier mode. These foundation edition cards which players won as rewards by playing and completing missions can be traded in the in-game market for DEC token. So, players can just start playing this mode without any financial obstacle and start earning by selling cards.
Now, looking at my own doings, as I have shared in my previous posts, while both my modern cards and SPS are on rent and my holy land is continuing its Grain production silently, I am fully focusing myself right now into the newly launched Frontier mode. Right now in Frontier mode, I am playing at Silver I league tier with a current trophy count of 1,700 and from here in, I still need another 200 more trophies in order to reach the next level, which is Gold III league tier. But for now, that’s a no no for me, because i have just crossed 2 new league tiers in this ongoing season, from Silver III to Silver I and I would be glad if I can even save this spot for a while.
Taking a peak at my own performance throughout this frontier season, I am glad that my Frontier entry rate has increased so much after reaching Silver league. If we take a look at the timer for the next Frontier raffle, there’s still 1 days and 4 hours left to accumulate these raffle tokens from daily rewards. So far, I have already collected 32 frontier entries this time, thanks to the silver league improved rewards, as now I am getting now 1 but 2 entries per reward. So, if I manage to complete all 3 reward missions daily, that’s a solid 6 entries in a day.
In the screenshot above, you can see my no of entries in the past Frontier raffles. Because I started playing from the very first stage - Bronze III, just like everyone else, my total no. of entries are low during the first few raffles, only 15 or 16 entries in the first 3 raffles to be more exact. Now here is the main trick - as I am continuously playing, earning cards and upgrading them, they are in return improving my performance in the battlefield. So, my trophy rating is increasing gradually in each season and as you can see from the image above, after the first 3 raffles, my entry count jumps significantly with the next one - scoring at 23, because I managed to enter silver III league during season end and earned some double entry tokens. Now, with this ongoing one, we have another 1 day and 4 hours in hand and the no. of daily missions that I can max get to play is 5, including 2 remaining from today. So, let’s see how many more entries I can gather before the time and if my luck shines for the first time in this time’s raffle.
Now moving on, before I showcase my Foundation card collection with you all, let’s talk a little about this awesome new special edition card-set. These new foundation edition cards are one-of-a-kind unique cards that can be generated only by playing the Campaign or Frontier mode. They are not directly available for sale in any packs, but players can choose to sell their earned foundation cards for sale on the in-game cards market. Now, unlike all other cards, foundation edition cards can only be upgraded upto gold league max level, i.e., - Common - 8, Rare - 6, Epic - 3 and Legendary - 3. Bug however, because of the low rate of card drops per mission per account, makes these cards scarce and more valuable. Now, I have first finished playing the Campaign mode and then been playing frontier mode for 5 continuous raffle seasons now. Gladly, my frequent gameplay everyday has earned me a decent amount of foundation cards already. Now, without any further ado, let me show my collection element wise at below.
FIRE
Let’s begin with the Fire element cards and as you can see, I have almost the whole collection of the Red Fire cards except one. Among 3 common type cards, one of them is level 3 and rest 2 are level 2. For 3 Rare cards, 2 of them including the archon os level 2 and the rest one is level 1. Both of my Epics are level 1 and sadly, I haven’t got the Legendary card yet.
Water
Well known for magic attacks, water element is the most powerful attacking element right now and sadly, my collection power is very weak in this element. As you can see, all 3 of my common type cards are level 2, are 3 rare cards are level 1, only one epic card at level 1 and haven't found the other epic and the legendary card.
EARTH
Earth is another proven powerful element in frontier mode and well known for being used in high mana limit matches. I have a decent collection of earth cards including all 3 common type cards at level 2, 2 Rare type cards including the archon at level 2 and the other one at level 1, have got both epic cards at level 1 but still haven't found the legendary one.
LIFE
Life element is popular for armours and though ai have sone upgraded cards, my archon is still level 1. In Life I have one common type card at level 3 and rest 2 at level 2, one level 2 rare card and rest 2 are level 1 including the archon, both epic cards at level 1 and so does the legendary one.
DEATH
Death element in frontier mode is well known for its high powered and weakening monster cards and also my favourite element in this mode. In Death element, I have all 3 common type cards at level 2, the archon rare card at level 2 and rest 2 at level 1, 1 epic and 1 legendary both at level 1.
NEUTRAL
Usable with any Element archon, Neutral type cards are very handy and powerful as well. For my collection, in neutral, I have all 3 commons at level 2, one level 2 and 1 level 1 rare, 1 epic and 1 legendary while the other one still missing in my arsenal.
Not only Regular foils, but I am fortunate enough to get rewarded with 4 gold foil foundation cards as well and all of them I got from reward chests. Out pf them 4, 2 are rare and the rest 2 are common type and the hest of them is obviosuly the Spellmonger.
Past but not least, As you can see, though my collection is stronger now with 3 upgraded level 2 archons and a handful of upgraded level 3 and 2 cards, I am still lacking some very important legendary and epic cards and the remaining archons. After I get them, playing in Silver league will be much easier and who knows, if I can push harder enough to even reach the Gold League. What do you think?
I hope you enjoyed reading my post about the Frontier Mode above. Let me know your thoughts about this monster in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
