Hello Splinterlands fam!
Welcome to another Splinterlands post. I hope all of you are enjoying the day with your family and friends. Now, for those of you who play this game dedicatedly daily, I hope you all are currently focusing on the current ranked season and also the frontier mode as well and trying to climb up the trophy ladder right now while battling with all your might in the bloody arena. Now, suppose you are old enough in this game. In that case, you should know that time flies faster here in the land of splinters and though it feels like we just started playing into this current season a few days ago. Still, we take a look at the ongoing season’s clock, you would realise that we have crossed more than a week already and only have another 5 days and 18 hours in hand, more or less, before this season meets its end. So, whatever goal you have set in your mind for this ranked season, whether it is to enter a particular league tier or to claim a glorious spot in the champion leaderboard, be sure to finish it as soon as possible. Because the season-end bloodbath is about to begin sooner than you think, and if you don't want to face those bloodthirsty OG top players with their unbeatable card collections, then finish your goal asap!
Now, talking about my own performance, after taking a rest for a day, I am back into the game and again putting all my strength into the frontier mode. For those who haven’t received the news yet, splinterlands has recently launched a brand new and unique gameplay mode, which is completely free to play and comes with cool rewards in the form of cards, which can be sold for DEC in the card market. This new mode only supports a brand new edition of cards called foundation cards, which can only be obtained by playing the free campaign mode and frontier mode, or you can also buy them from the market. Now, I have been playing this mode for a while already and have made a decent collection of foundation cards. Today, I have finished playing all three reward missions and have claimed the rewards already, which you can see in the screenshots that I shared above. Mad Kaboomist
Now, looking forward, let me come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be showcasing another awesome Conclave Arcana edition card with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be projecting the light upon the Mad Kaboomist. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this powerful monster, then let’s take a dive without any further ado.
The Mad Kaboomist is a monster-type card that was introduced into splinterlands with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition cardset. This monster belongs to the Earth element, and it comes from the Dwarf bloodline. This little dwarf monster only costs 4 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily select it in your lineup when playing small to medium mana limit matches, or the ones with Little League ruleset. By rarity, it is a common type of card that requires a total of 400 BCXs of cards to upgrade it to max level. The attack type of this card is Magic, and apart from a high magic attack power, this monster also features a large health bar at decent speed with 4 abilities at its max level, which I am going to talk about later in this post. Let us now take a further look at this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to know more.
BRONZE
At level 3, this monster gets 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 1 health, along with 2 abilities - Snipe and Divine Shield. It gets the Snipe ability first at its initial level and then gets the Divine Shield ability at level 3. So, you get a sniper magic mobster out of the box and from level 3 onwards, the Divine Shield ability will save this monster from the first attack that it receives in battle.
SNIPE - Magic and Ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position.
DIVINE SHIELD - Ignores all damage once, after which the Divine Shield is destroyed.
SILVER
When you upgrade this monster to level 5, it possesses 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with an increased 2 health. Not only that, but it also gets a new ability at this level called Reveal, with which it can neutralise the invisible Camouflage monsters easily.
REVEAL - Each round applies Revealed to a camouflaged enemy unit. Revealed units can be targeted by direct attacks.
GOLD
As this monster gets upgraded to level 8, its stats get increased further with 3 magic attack power, 3 speed, and 4 health, along with those 3 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it doesn't get any new abilities at this level, its increased firepower alone will help you take down enemy units much faster now.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when this monster card gets upgraded to its max level of 10, it receives 3 magic attack power at 3 speed with an increased 6 health. Not only that, but gladly it also receives a brand new ability at its max level called Affliction, with which it can disable any type of healing properties upon applying the affliction ability on the targeted enemy monster.
AFFLICTION - 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed.
Last but not least, I really loved this monster mainly for its high magic attack power. If coupled with another snipe card, this monster can bring immense damage to the backline attacker monsters. Moreover, the reveal and affliction abilities will also be helpful in certain cases and not to forget its Divine Shield as well, which will protect this monster from the first enemy attack. So overall, for a mere 4 mana cost, I think this monster is very powerful and worthy of a spot in your collection. What do you think?
