Hey guys, It’s been a while since I last shared something with you all, and today I’m back with a DIY blog. This time, I made a paper flower basket, which is super easy to make and doesn’t take much time at all.
I actually made this basket for my little nephew. He brought me a Coca-Cola paper cup and asked me to make something out of it. After thinking for a while, I realized — hey, I could turn it into a beautiful flower basket! He wanted me to make him a toy, and of course, I couldn’t refuse his request.
The best part is, I didn’t use any glue for this project. All you need is some paper and a cup — that’s it! You can paint it if you want, but honestly, it already looked really nice without any color. So, let me share how I made it.
First, I took a Coca-Cola paper cup and neatly cut off the round top edge. I saved that part to use later as the handle of the basket.
Then, I took the cup and cut it vertically into long, even strips using scissors, as you can see in the pictures.
After that, I folded one strip and tucked it under the next one — skipping one each time — and continued the same pattern all around the cup. I’ve shown the whole process in pictures for you all to follow easily.
Finally, I took the round piece I had cut off earlier and attached it to both sides to make the handle. And just like that — our beautiful DIY paper flower basket was ready!
While making it, I was also playing and teaching my nephew how to do it. Instead of giving children mobile phones, spending time making little crafts like this helps them learn, be creative, and stay away from screens. These simple activities bring them so much joy and entertainment.
