Hey guys, I hope you all are doing great and spending your beautiful moments happily. Winter is approaching, but the sunlight still feels quite strong. I absolutely love doing artwork. Yesterday, after painting on a pillow cover, I suddenly felt like trying something on my clothes. Who doesn’t love wearing something made by their own hands? So, I had stitched a few plain-colored dresses especially for hand painting.

This time, I painted Krishnachura (flame tree) flowers on a brown-colored dress. It looked as if real flowers were blooming on the fabric!

I started by painting the flowers and then added small details. I used different types of brushes — for the tiny leaves, I used a zero-size brush, and for the flowers, I created texture using orange, red, and yellow shades. For the leaves, I mixed parrot green and yellow to make a beautiful color combination. After finishing the design, I was really happy with how it turned out.

I also painted three panjabis for my brother. On a black panjabi, I painted flowers using white and silver colors, and for the leaves, I used golden and green shades. I never make a sketch before painting; since I have a steady hand, I can directly create shapes as I go. On a white panjabi, I painted yellow flowers, inspired by an online design. And on a sky-blue panjabi, I drew frangipani (Kathgolap) flowers.

For hand painting, you’ll definitely need fabric colors, a frame, and different-sized brushes depending on the type of design. I just shared with you my hand-painted dresses and panjabis.
After finishing the painting, it’s very important to dry the fabric properly under sunlight, otherwise, the colors won’t last long. That’s all for today — thank you, everyone!
