Digital Art | Yuslett, the Demon of the Forest

 Good afternoon my dearest #Hive readers, happy Friday, happy start of the weekend, I hope this has been an excellent and productive week for all of you just as it was for me, since I was able to take some time from my work to draw some sketches and finish a couple of drawings that I will share with you in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, today I am here to bring you an illustration which I had started since Monday of last week, it is about a character that I decided to create and which I called (Yuslett, the Demon of the Forest), and as its name indicates, it is about a demonic girl who lives in the depths of an ancient and mysterious forest known as the forest of mourning, a place where travelers enter, but from which they never manage to leave alive, since (Yuslett) takes over their souls and then devours their bodies to stay strong: >*Muy buenas tardes mis queridísimos lectores de #Hive, feliz viernes, feliz inicio de fin de semana, espero que haya sido esta una excelente y productiva semana para todos ustedes tal cual como lo fue para mí, ya que pude sacar un poco de tiempo de mi trabajo para dibujar algunos bocetos y culminar un par de dibujos que les iré compartiendo en las próximas semanas. Mientras tanto, el día de hoy me encuentro por aquí para traerles una ilustración la cual había iniciado desde el lunes de la semana pasada, se trata de un personaje que decidí crear y a la cual llamé como (Yuslett, el Demonio del Bosque), y como su mismo nombre lo indica se trata de una chica demoniaca la cual habita en las profundidades de un antiguo y misterioso bosque conocido como el bosque de los lamentos, un lugar en el cual entran los viajeros, pero del cual nunca logra salir con vida, ya que (Yuslett) se apodera de sus almas y luego devora sus cuerpos para mantenerse fuerte:* ### PROCESS / PROCESO  I started by building a sketch in which the character (Yuslett) can be appreciated with that imposing yet sinister personality that I was looking for for her. In this case, I decided to draw her as a woman with a sensual silhouette, with short, rounded hair, and two large, sharp, downward-curving horns. I began the coloring process by looking for some green tones that would serve to give a good base to the character's skin. This time, I started with an airbrush base to first define the volume, and then, with the watercolor brush, I better defined the facial features such as the nose, cheekbones, eyelids, and the corners of the lips. >*Empecé construyendo un boceto en el cual se apreciará al personaje (Yuslett) con esa personalidad imponente y al mismo tiempo tétrica que yo buscaba para ella, en este caso decidí dibujarla como una mujer de silueta sensual, de cabello un poco corto y redondeado, y con 2 grandes y afiliados cuernos curvos hacia abajo. Di inicio al proceso de coloreado buscando algunos tonos verdes que me sirvieran para darle una buena base a la piel del personaje, en esta ocasión empecé con una base de aerógrafo para definir primero el volumen, y luego con el pincel de acuarela fui definiendo mejor los rasgos faciales como la nariz, pómulos, parpados y la comisura de los labios.*    In the 2nd stage I was in charge of working on the eyes and mouth with the idea of ​​giving the character that cold and evil expression. In this case, I used light greens as the base for the eyes, then I moved on to slightly more brown and orange tones for the detailing of the iris and pupils of the eyes, adding of course shine and shadows to the eyelids. Then, for the lips, I used greens, achieving a color transition from the skin, but giving them a certain volume and shine. For the hair, I opted for more yellowish green tones. Since the hair was going to be shorter in this case, I went directly to texturizing with my 3-pronged brush, subtly scaling towards lighter tones, giving volume. Likewise, with the same brush, I detailed the eyebrows and the highlights on the crown of the head. >*En la 2da etapa me encargue trabajar los ojos y la boca con la idea de darle esa expresión fría y malvada al personaje, en este caso con verdes claros senté la base de los ojos, luego me pase a tonos un poco más marrones y naranjas para el detallado del iris y las pupilas de los ojos, agregando por supuesto brillos y sombras de los parpados; después para los labios use verdes logrando una transición de color desde la piel, pero dándoles cierto volumen y brillo a los labios. Para el trabajo del pelo me decante por tonos verdes ya mas amarillentos, y como en este caso el pelo iba a ser mas corto me pase directamente al texturizado con mi pincel de 3 puntas, y fui escalando sutilmente hacia los tonos mas claros dando volumen, así mismo con el mismo pincel detalle las cejas y los brillos altos de la coronilla.*    For the outfit, I opted for a long, green dress that complemented the sleeves I initially created for her arms. In this case, I wanted the dress to be sleeveless, somewhat fitted to her silhouette but with a slight slack at the hips. I used my watercolor brush to work on the texture and also added a small dot pattern to the dress, following the shape of Yuslett's body. To finish, I decided to depict a forest at dusk. I used brown tones and began to create trees and branches coming out from the sides of my canvas. I was looking for a kind of path with a depth perspective toward the background. I also used green tones to create bushes and a reddish sky in the background, as well as a small lighting effect from the sun setting in front of her while her eyes lit up an intense green. >*En el caso de la vestimenta opte por un vestido largo y de tonos verdes que complementara bien con las mangas que había creado en un principio para los brazos, en este caso el vestido quise que fuese una prenda sin mangas, algo ajustada a su silueta, pero con una leve holgura en las caderas; con mi pincel de acuarela trabaje la textura y además agregue un pequeño patrón de puntos en el vestido siguiendo la forma del cuerpo de (Yuslett). Para culminar decidí representar un bosque al ocaso de la tarde, tomé tonos marrones y comencé a construir arboles y ramas saliendo de los lados de mi lienzo, con esto lo que yo buscaba era formar una especie de camino en perspectiva de profundidad hacia el fondo; también con tonos verdes cree arbustos y un cielo rojizo de fondo, así como un pequeño efecto de iluminación del sol cayendo frente a ella mientras sus ojos se iluminan de un verde intenso.*     ### MATERIALS / MATERIALES - Sai Paint Tool Program - Huion inspiroy h610 v2 tablet >- *Programa Paint Tool Sai* >- *Tableta Huion inspiroy h610 v2*  Well guys and girls, that's all for my post today.
