Zingtober Day 31: AWARD 🏆 Glacion, world champion of dragons

Good afternoon, my dear readers from the #Hive artistic community. I hope you are all doing wonderfully. Once again, I am Manuel, and I am very happy to share a new artistic post for my blog with you. This time, I'm here to bring you a very special post, as it's my entry for the last day of #Zingtober, proposed by my dear friends in the #Holozing community. It's a really cool challenge, now in its second edition on the platform, and I'm glad to have been a part of it. >*Muy buenas tardes mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras de la comunidad artística de #Hive, espero que todos se encuentren de maravilla, por aquí los saluda una vez más su amago Manuel super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta ocasión me encuentro por aquí para traerles un post bastante especial, ya que se trata de mi entrada para el último día del #Zingtober propuesto por mi querida gente de la comunidad de #Holozing, un reto muy pero que muy genial el cual estaba celebrando su 2da edición dentro de la plataforma, y del cual me alegra poder haber sido parte.*  Well, in today's case, the corresponding word or term was (AWARD), and the idea I had was to create a kind of sports or tournament award ceremony, with the ice dragon creature (GLACION) being crowned as the brand-new winner of first place... I hope you like this idea, and here I will show you a little bit of the process behind this work: >*Bueno, en el caso del día de hoy la palabra correspondiente o el termino correspondiente era (AWARD), y la idea que tuve fue la de hacer una especie de premiación de un deporte o torneo, con la criatura de tipo dragón de hielo (GLACION) coronándose como el flamante ganador del primer lugar…espero les guste esta idea y aquí les mostrare un poco del proceso de esta obra:* ### PROCESS / PROCESO ###### REFERENCE [](https://peakd.com/hive-131131/@holozing/new-creature-reveal-dragon-creatures-naming-contest-concluded-and-zing-distribution-changes)  The first step was to define the idea for my drawing in strokes. In this case, since it was for an award ceremony, I decided to draw the Dragon (GLACION) with a noticeable expression of happiness, with its arms raised high, holding a large champion's cup. Once the idea was ready, I moved on to the coloring process. In this case, using the grayscale again, I began to bring GLACION to life. Using light intermediate grays, I created the base of the skin, giving a little texture and shape to the arms, legs, skull, and so on. >*Lo primero fue definir la idea de mi dibujo en trazos, en este caso como se trataría de una premiación decidí dibujar al Dragón (GLACION) con una notoria expresión de felicidad, y con sus brazos alzados hacia arriba sosteniendo una gran copa de campeón. Ya una vez la idea esta lista me pasé a lo que seria el proceso de coloreado, en este caso usando nuevamente la escala de grises comencé a darle vida a (GLACION), en este caso con grises intermedio claros fui plasmando la base de la piel dando un poco de textura y forma a los brazos, patas, cráneo y demás.*    Using light grays, I created what would be the texture of ice on the horns of this particular dragon, as well as what would be the large ice diamond on the tip of its tail. I did this using my fine-tipped sketch brush. As for the eyes, I tried to maintain that friendly essence for (GLACION), which is why I drew the eyes large, using light grays to capture the base of the eyes and taking the opportunity to create two small fangs. Then, on the inside of the eyes, I used fairly dark grays to form a large iris and a fairly dilated pupil, and on the edges, I used light gray to form small sparkles and glints to denote even more expressiveness. >*Con unos grises claros forme lo que sería la textura de hielo en los cuernos de este particular dragón, así como también cree lo que seria el gran diamante de hielo que lleva en la punta de su cola, esto lo hice utilizando mi pincel de boceto de punta fina. Ya Con respecto al apartado de los ojos trate de mantener esa esencia amigable para (GLACION), es por ello que los ojos los dibuje de un gran tamaño, con grises claros plasme la base de los ojos y aproveche de una vez para crear 2 pequeños colmillos; luego en la parte interna de los ojos con grises bastante oscuros forme un gran iris y una pupila bastante dilatada, y en los bordes con un gris claro forme pequeños destellos y brillos para denotar aún más expresividad.*    To create the cup or trophy, use a range of grays that are slightly darker than all the previous ones. In this case, after creating the base of the trophy, I began to apply strokes from top to bottom, following the shape of the object more or less. In this case, I gave the middle part a little more curvature, since this area is usually a little larger and wider. Finally, I went back to the light grays and used small brushes to create highlights that better represent the metallic texture of the trophy. In the case of the podium, I tried to draw a kind of rectangular box on which the dragon (GLACION) would stand. In this case, I textured it to look like hard wood and painted a number 1 right in front of it. Finally, I created a slight confetti or celebration paper effect around (GLACION). >*Para la creación de la copa o trofeo use una gama de grises un poco más oscuros que todos los anteriores, en este caso luego de tener la base de trofeo comencé a aplicar trazos de arriba hacia abajo siguiendo más o menos la forma del objeto, en este caso en la parte media di un poco mas de curvatura ya que por lo general esta zona es un poco mas grande y ancha; y ya al final tome nuevamente los grises claros y con pequeñas pincelas forme brillos que representara mejor la textura metálica del trofeo. En el caso del podio trate de dibujar una especie de caja rectangular sobre la cual estaría parado el dragón (GLACION), en este caso la texturice con una apariencia como de madera rígida y pinte un numero 1 justo al frente; ya al final cree leve efecto de confeti o papelillos de celebración alrededor de (GLACION).*     ### MATERIALS / MATERIALES - Sai Paint Tool Program - Huion inspiroy h610 v2 tablet >- *Programa Paint Tool Sai* >- *Tableta Huion inspiroy h610 v2* [  ](https://peakd.com/hive-131131/@holozing/zingtober-2025-event-and-achievements)  Well, guys and gals, that's all for today.
