Last Wednesday, I celebrated another birthday. I came into this world on a distant September 3, 1964 in Barquisimeto, the city where I have lived most of my life, so I really have many things to be thankful for in all these years of my existence. After spending the day receiving and answering messages of congratulations from my children, family, friends and former classmates or work colleagues through the various social networks, in the evening I went with my sister, her husband, her son and our mother, to dinner at a renowned social club in the city, of which my brother-in-law is a member. During our evening, in addition to the traditional group photos that are usually taken on these festive occasions in order to immortalize the moment, I had the opportunity to capture in pictures my sister and my 23 year old nephew, the same age of the younger of my two children, who along with his brother and their mother, live in another city, which is why they could not join me in this celebration. As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

El pasado miércoles, celebré un nuevo cumpleaños. Llegué a este mundo un distante 3 de Septiembre de 1964 en Barquisimeto, la ciudad donde he vivido gran parte de mi vida, así que realmente tengo muchas cosas que agradecer en todos estos años de mi existencia. Luego de pasar el día recibiendo y respondiendo mensajes de felicitaciones de mis hijos, familiares, amigos y antiguos compañeros de estudio o de trabajo por las diversas redes sociales, en la noche fuí con mi hermana, su esposo, su hijo y nuestra madre, a cenar en un reconocido club social de la ciudad, del cual mi cuñado es socio. Durante nuestra velada, además de las tradicionales fotos en grupo que suelen tomarse en estas ocasiones festivas con el fin de inmortalizar el momento, tuve la oportunidad de capturar en imágenes a mi hermana y a mi sobrino de 23 años, la misma edad del menor de mis dos hijos, quien junto a su hermano y a la madre de ambos, viven en otra ciudad, razón por la cual no pudieron acompañarme en esta celebración. Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
