Hey Actifitters,
Like I mentioned in my previous report, Kaia seemed to get worse yesterday. She refused food, she was very lethargic and there was a lot of that:
That's quite unusual for her, she's getting old but is still quite an active dog. So, after almost a week of symptoms, I decided it was time to call the vet and get an appointment for Thursday. Spoiler and good news, she was much better even before going to the vet, of course! Anyways, even if she wasn't moving much, we spent a few breaks in the yard, the weather was too nice to not enjoy.
Le Chat wasn't sick but she also spent most of her time not doing much on the dog bed outside. But that's usual for her!
In the afternoon, I didn't want to push Kaia too much, but we went for a very short walk near the forest behind the front yard. Not even inside the forest, just along the edge.
It's like Le Chat could feel Kaia wasn't doing great, she followed her everywhere. Can you see her sneaking in and getting some cuddles?
We also walked on the neighborhood streets for a few minutes. Again, very easy and very short, just to get Kaia to move a bit.
But that was all for her. I brought her back inside so she could rest and went for a run. Tough one in my current form, but about 8km at a consistent pace, it was okay.
I still needed a few more efforts to get above the bar for #poprzeczka competition. But I made it, even added a couple thousands steps more! Not sure where that leaves me on the rankings for August, but I'm already happy with this result. Let's see if we can do even better.
