Am happy to hop in again into this week's #BeerSaturday challenge always organized by @detlev. This is week 397 and am here to write about a new beer I tasted this week, precisely on Saturday.
On Saturday, the eight day of February 2025, I went to Dikkies Supermarket which is a business in our locality that accepts HBD payment to purchase some items for the week. There, I visited their freezer to check if I can find a different brand of beer that tastes different in other to write about something different and new in #BeerSaturday challenge.
Happily, I succeeded in getting a unique brand of beer that tastes all-together different. The name of the beer is Legend twist.
Legend twist beer is a stout beer with ginger flavour. When I opened the can cork to enjoy the beer, the first flavour that i perceived wasn't encouraging. Ahh, I felt like wasting the beer because of its aroma. But I decided to have a taste of it. When I tasted it, I found out that the beer is for people that appreciates unique and authentic taste because it has unique satisfying legend taste with high quality premium stout taste.
Legend twist ginger flavoured stout have 4.5% alcohol volume while it's net content is 33CL and it's also made of 10 ingredients and flavourings namely:
- Sucrose
- Water
- Sorghum
- Malted barley
- Caramel
- *Flavourings (Malt extract)
- Lemon juice flavour
- Natural ginger flavour
- Citric acid
- Hop extract
Legend twist ginger flavoured stout is the product of Nigerian breweries located in Lagos state Nigeria and it's best served chilled because of the mixture of both lemon juice and ginger juice.
The beer is in can form with easy to open can cork which made it easy for me to open it without stress. Also, it has a sweet sharp color which is enticing and attractive. The color is black.
To enjoy the beer, I bought roasted chicken because it's hard to enjoy the beer raw without better meat because it has sour taste and taking it along with chicken is the best option to dilute it.
I greatly enjoyed the beer though it has sour taste surrounded with ginger taste because I enjoyed it with roasted chicken.
