| 🇫🇷 Que cela fait du bien de reprendre la vie normale, celle qui nous parait évidente, qui ne demande aucune concession, aucune hésitation, aucune contrariété. Partir en bateau, avec mon chez moi flottant, m'arrêter là où je pense que la carte marine pourrait m'offrir une jolie plongée, et... plonger ! C'est ce que j'ai fait ce matin et ce que je ferai demain matin dans le sud de l'île de Maio au Cap-Vert. |

| 🇫🇷 Je viens d'arriver sur cette île que je ne connais pas, j'ai déposé des clients qui désiraient vister quelques îles de l'archipel, et je prends quelques jours pour moi pour visiter l'île comme j'ai eu tant l'habitude de faire par le passé, à savoir par les fonds ! Une pointe de roche avance un peu dans la mer sur le sud l'île et je décide de m'arrêter là pour m'immerger un peu. |

| 🇫🇷 La plongée au Cap-Vert n'a rien à voir avec l'Indo-Pacifique, les Maldives ou Mayotte. Ici la plongée commerciale existe parceque le tourisme de masse existe et qu'il faut bien occuper son monde. Mais bon, explorer sans trop savoir ce que je vais trouver m'a toujours plu et je continue dans cet esprit. Ici, l'eau descend à moins de 20° durant l'hiver, ce qui laisse peu de chance au corail pour se développer vers des tailles imposantes. Le corail est donc rasant, petit, d'où ma joie de découvrir aujourd'hui quelques gorgones d'une taille certes modeste mais que je n'avais pas observé ainsi au Cap-Vert depuis mon arrivée. Un peu avant, en longeant une faille, un "gata fish" (requin dormeur) m'a fait surpris en sortant de cette même faille où il se reposait avant que je ne vienne le déranger (Pardon!). Une belle plongée donc qui en appelle un autre pour demain. Voici quelques photos des gorgones et du requin nourice. |
🇬🇧Diving in Cape Verde has nothing to do with the Indo-Pacific, the Maldives or Mayotte. Here, commercial diving exists because mass tourism exists and it is necessary to occupy one’s world well. But well, exploring without really knowing what I will find has always pleased me and I continue in this spirit. Here, the water drops to less than 20° during the winter, which leaves little chance for coral to develop into imposing sizes. The coral is therefore grazing, small, hence my joy to discover today some gorgonians of a certainly modest size but that I had not observed in Cape Verde since my arrival. A little earlier, while following a fault line, a "gata fish" (sleeper shark) surprised me by coming out of the same fault line where it was resting before I came to disturb it (Sorry!).
