More Than Just a Costume: A Collaborative Creation and a Faithful Refection

Classes have already started in various schools, while I am just here at home waiting for the right time to continue to college. There are so many trials and problems to face every day, we don't know when they will rush upon us. We can't predict what may happen, just like tomorrow that we thought would be good until some trials would test us. We don't have the power to control time, and we also don't know what will happen next. But in every situation, we have nothing else to hold on to, only hope, and have trust in our Lord. And in every misfortune we have , we should always remember that , "EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON", and "GOD HAS A BETTER PLAN". This offers comfort and reassurance during difficult times. I may not be a perfect sister, but I always lend a helping hand to those people who need it, especially my siblings. I'm not an expert at everything, it depends on the task. However, it's so heartwarming because they always put trust in me. The best feeling is knowing they value everything I do to help them, even in small things. I haven't proceeded to college yet due to some valid concerns, so I have more time now to help my siblings with their projects. I also accompany my sibling to daycare, which I also enjoy, even though it's tiring sometimes. In this blog, I will share how I made my sibling's Cosplay Costume as "Artemis". And the best part is that we all worked together to make it. Even though it's just a DIY project , we made it with love and appreciation.  At first I was hesitant about continuing with the costume that my sister had chosen . And I also thought that it would be difficult for me to make the archer because I might not be able to do it. So I asked her if it was okay if Aphrodite was her chosen Cosplayer because making her costume was easy and all we needed was white fabric, foil and the stitching. She told me that we would make the costume and dad would make the archer, which is also good. I started by placing the yellow fabric on the white fabric to serve as a highlight in the middle.    While I was sewing, dad also made the archer including the thing where the arrows should be put. But it failed on the first try because dad only used wood and it couldn't be stretched properly. But he didn't give up and got something else that could be stretched easily so it would be easier to finish. Knowing how supportive my dad is , I wouldn't be surprised if he would always find a way to help us with all our needs. He not only provides for our daily lives, but he also helps us with our school needs like these things.    For the belt, mom measured my sister's size. She used the leftover fabric that I used so it wouldn't be wasted. After measuring, she put a button on it so it would be easy to attach the belt. My sister also said that they would only do the show inside the classroom so I wasn't able to help her put it on there. Since mom is so caring, she ensured that my sister wouldn't have a hard time wearing it.  Ang regarding her desired cape, she plans to use it to create a mysterious pose. She told me she will wear a cap with the cape while walking the ramp, and when she reaches the middle, she'll remove the cap and take a pose with her archer. She told me more details about what she will do when she's in front of the audience. I really admire her confidence , and I'm so proud of her. By the way, my younger sister made this, but I forgot to take a photo of her.   To complete her outfit , I made the bracelet she will use. I made it using Mom's leftover fabric, and it fits perfectly because I only used a little. After everything , I got a biscuit because I was a bit hungry. It's Nissin brand , it's not big, but it's very tasty. After our teamwork, we finally completed it. Having unity on this project reinforced the importance of collaboration . It's so amazing what we can accomplish when we combine our efforts and support each other . This is not just making costumes, it also built our strong family bond. This is where I realized that even though I haven't been able to continue in college this year, I have a reason to help my siblings . I'm also happy to be able to help them, especially my daycare sibling. When I help with their assignments , I feel like I'm also learning. So I can truly say everything happens for a reason. I also know that the Lord has a better plan for me and you hivers. So let's not lose hope and always have faith because in life , we're not always happy, but there's always a reason to keep going.
