The Importance of Cleanliness: A Gentle Reminder to Take Action

Good day, hivers! This is just a simple way to contribute to a good and healthy environment. A simple act that can have a big impact. Our mood sometimes reflects what we've seen in our surroundings. A dirty environment can't give us peace of mind and a good mood . We can't focus on our duties when our surroundings are dirty, littered with fallen leaves , and have a lot of trash. To maintain our good environment and cleanliness, simple cleaning is a big help to manage the beauty of our nature. Let us all cooperate in order to have a refreshing atmosphere that nature has given us.  It happened last Saturday because we had a rosary that day. Before the exact time for our rosary arrived, I noticed the chapel's surroundings were dirty. There are dried leaves and trash that I saw in different corners. As we started, I managed to focus on our rosary, but my mind kept thinking of the dirt outside. It doesn't give me enough peace and I felt so uncomfortable at that time. After the rosary, I told my sister about cleaning the area before we go home. Only the two of us did the rosary, the other rosarian didn't come, so I thought they had an important thing to do.   The area was a bit spacious, and it took us about an hour before we finished. We only had one stick broom( walis tingting) and we used a sack to collect the trash before throwing it away. Since we only had one stick broom, I volunteered to clean the other part and gathered the trash so she will only put it in a sack, while I continued to the other part. I also did the same when I was done gathering all the trash in the other part. We used our hands to pick it since we didn't bring a dustpan because we never expected to do it right away. Thankfully, our sister came and helped us . It's not easy to pick the small trash and the remaining dirt , so I requested my sister to get a dustpan.   The sun was still scorching hot , our sweat was dripping down our faces, and I felt so hungry at that moment. We're eager to finish it right away so we could go home. I noticed how tired they are too. They didn't complain but their sluggish movements and big droplets of sweat said everything.   In just a few minutes, my sister arrived holding a dustpan. Using this tool made our work much faster, eliminating the struggle of picking up the trash by hand. My sister asked me to throw the remaining trash in the sack, while she organized our things in their designated area. To reach the area where we would throw the trash, we encountered plants with many seed pods that stuck to our clothes.    Finally, we finished cleaning the entire area. It's pleasing to see the clean surroundings, and it is very satisfying , bringing me peace of mind. We can truly show our love and concern for nature by taking care of it. A consistently clean environment also encourages responsible behavior , fostering respect and maintaining its well-being. This improves the cycle of cleanliness, contributing to a healthier society. Imagine a space where children can play freely without fear of the dangers lurking in unsightly waste , a place where the air is fresh and the beauty of nature is fully appreciated.
