El fin de semana junto a mi novio estábamos en la búsqueda de que ver, teníamos ganas de ver una película no tan larga para ver antes de ir a dormir, las más recientes últimamente duran mínimo unas 2 horas así que no nos podíamos dar ese lujo, ya que era domingo y el lunes teníamos que trabajar, vi la portada de esta película y recordé que en mi infancia vi unas en par de ocasiones, sabía que a mí muchas cosas me iban a chocar de esta película, pero igual decidí verla.
¿Pero porque digo que a mí me podría chocar? Si es que nada más su título original es “The Hot Chick”, así que ya pueden imaginar cuál va ser mi descontento al respecto… Si, el machismo a flor de piel.

Al principio vemos la típica chica popular, blanca, de pelo rubio, porrista y sumamente perfecta, humillando a todos, aún así pensando que todos la aman, sin importarle las consecuencias de sus actos, hasta que por robar unos aretes que estaban hechizados termina cambiando cuerpo con un criminal de 40 años, así que esto es un contraste enorme.
Algo que sí me pareció muy diferente de todas las películas de cambio de cuerpo, es que el cuerpo aparece mágicamente en su casa, no solo cambia “el alma” por así decirlo sino que también se teletransporta el cuerpo con la ropa de que había en el cuerpo, esto es lo que en el mundo de la ficción tiene menos sentido para mí, aunque siento que es para que apareciera anónimo en donde estaba el cuerpo de Jessica, porque en la mayoría de escenas vemos es a Jessica intentando adaptarse en el cuerpo de este señor, ya que al revés aparentemente fue más fácil y ella logró tener más beneficios (aparentemente).
La película tiene una premisa buena y divertida, pero hay chistes que realmente eran incómodos, machistas, homofobicos y hasta xenófobos, llenos de estereotipos por todas partes, (yo por lo general no me molesto por esto, pero con esta película fue muy incómodo, a punto de que pasaba límites o sinolemre eran innecesarios)

Over the weekend, my boyfriend and I were looking for something to watch. We wanted to watch a shorter movie before bed. The most recent ones are at least two hours long, so we couldn't afford that luxury since it was Sunday and we had to work on Monday. I saw the cover of this movie and remembered that I'd seen one a couple of times in my childhood. I knew that many things about this movie would shock me, but I decided to watch it anyway.
But why do I say it might shock me? Its original title alone is "The Hot Chick," so you can imagine my discontent about it… Yes, machismo at its peak.

To the At first, we see the typical popular girl, white, blonde, a cheerleader, and extremely perfect, humiliating everyone, even though she thinks everyone loves her, not caring about the consequences of her actions. Until, after stealing some enchanted earrings, she ends up switching bodies with a 40-year-old criminal. This is a huge contrast.
Something that did seem very different to me from all the body-swapping movies is that the body magically appears in her house. Not only does she change her "soul," so to speak, but the body also teleports away, complete with the clothes that were on the body. This is something that makes the least sense to me in the fictional world. Although I feel like it's meant to be anonymous, appearing where Jessica's body was, because in most scenes, we see Jessica trying to adapt to this man's body, since the other way around was apparently easier, and she managed to gain more benefits (apparently).
The film has a good and funny premise, but there are jokes that were really uncomfortable, sexist, homophobic, and even xenophobic, full of stereotypes everywhere. (I don't usually get upset about this, but with this film it was very uncomfortable, to the point of crossing the line or otherwise being unnecessary.)
