Midnight Letters Prompt #5//The magic of the night

It's midnight, my night owl friends. The darkness hasn't quite settled tonight, as there's a full moon, and everything is clearer. The sky is starlit, like a celestial Christmas tree lighting up.

With the arrival of night comes the longed-for silence that acts like a mirror. Without external noise, the mind is forced to turn inward. It's a privileged and unique moment for meditation, deep thought, and reflection. It's a respite in which the day's worries and problems are, in a way, filed away, providing serenity and emotional tranquility. Let's say it's a necessary pause, an invitation to stillness, and a space where the world and its external concerns disappear, and the inner world takes center stage.

It is precisely at this time that my inner muse appears, and I take advantage of it to write my pieces. I light some bright candles or my bedside lamp, which illuminates the room with a reddish glow, and the poems flow easily, accompanied by a soft melody. The stories I tell speak only of beautiful things, like princesses and well-kept secrets.

Sometimes my mind takes flight, like someone dreaming but awake, bringing back old memories that have been forever stored in my heart and mind. Or, my thoughts simply transcend time and travel to the future, where they plan encounters, activities, and the fulfillment of so many wishes I keep tucked away under my pillow.

Without a doubt, the night and its tranquility uplift the spirit of those who experience it. I couldn't say that it makes me feel alone, even when I am; on the contrary, I feel at peace and serene with everything around me. That is its effect and its magic.
