Feliz día de agujas amigos de @needleworkmonday. Estoy saliendo de este malestar de gripe que me ha tenido en reposo por casi semana y media, tengo muchos proyectos acumulados y espero poder tener el ánimo para iniciarlos y cumplir con ellos. El proyecto de hoy lo hice antes de enfermarme y no había podido compartirlo. La historia de este proyecto es la de la hija de una gran amiga que culminó parte de sus estudios universitarios, le llegó el día de la firma del acta y no se decidía por el atuendo a usar. Tenía un vestido que le regaló una tía pero quería transformarlo a algo más juvenil. Ahora les muestro lo que hice con el y que la niña usó encantada y feliz.
Happy needle day @needleworkmonday friends. I'm coming out of this flu sickness that has had me on bed rest for almost a week and a half, I have many projects accumulated and I hope I can have the courage to start them and accomplish them. Today's project I did before I got sick and I had not been able to share it. The story of this project is the story of the daughter of a great friend who finished part of her university studies, the day came for her to sign the certificate and she couldn't decide on the outfit to wear. She had a dress that an aunt gave her but she wanted to transform it into something more youthful. Now I show you what I did with it and the girl was delighted and happy to wear it.
Una vez que tenía el modelo a crear, descosí todas las costuras, no corté porque tenía miedo de que no me alcanzara la tela luego y corté en dos el vestido la falda y la blusa. Luego la blusa le hice un corte asimétrico a una sola manga.
Once I had the model to create, I unpicked all the seams, I didn't cut because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough fabric later and I cut the dress in two, the skirt and the blouse. Then I made an asymmetrical cut on one sleeve of the blouse.
Luego para darle forma a la parte de la blusa le hice pinzas para resaltar el busto y uní el hombro de la manga delantera con la trasera.
Then to give shape to the blouse I made darts to highlight the bust and joined the shoulder of the front sleeve to the back.
Con un trozo de tela que corté para dar el largo a la falda y un ruche que coloqué a la manga y terminé haciendo costuras a los lados u el ruedo de la blusa.
With a piece of fabric that I cut to lengthen the skirt and a ruching that I attached to the sleeve and finished by stitching the sides and hem of the blouse.
A la falda le hice un corte vertical de manera que quedara una abertura sobre la pierna derecha, hice ajuste al ancho reduciendo 2 cm de cada lado ya que el vestido inicial era mas ancho.
I made a vertical cut to the skirt so that there was a slit on the right leg, I adjusted the width by reducing 2 cm on each side since the initial dress was wider.
Así terminamos un diseño totalmente diferente a partir de uno lindo pero que el diseño no eran tan juvenil para la hija de mi amiga.
So we ended up with a totally different design from a cute but not so youthful design for my friend's daughter.
I must say that the fabric of the dress helped a lot to get the result we wanted and although the initial dress was very nice the design was more for a more adult person and the one we made was more youthful ideal for the girl. I hope you liked it as much as we did and we'll see you soon.
