Feliz y bendecido lunes de agujas para tod@s en @needleworkmonday. Este es el mes de las graduaciones, generalmente para los de educación Media General en Venezuela, pero en la familia tocó estar feliz por el acto de grado de mi sobrina mayor que obtuvo su título de Técnico Superior en administración de Empresas y como les comenté anteriormente su vestido de graduación sería mi regalo para ella y fue el modelo que le hice a la Barbie en mis post anterior y que me ayudó muchísimo porque ya tenía claro la cantidad de piezas y el proceso de confección en general.
Mi sobrina escogió un color azul cielo ya que sería en la mañana el acto de grado, estuve totalmente de acuerdo con el color y en total fueron dos metros de tela que se llevó este bello diseño.

This is the month of graduations, usually for those in high school in Venezuela, but in the family we were happy for the graduation ceremony of my eldest niece who got her degree in Business Administration and as I mentioned before her graduation dress would be my gift to her and it was the model that I made for Barbie in my previous post and that helped me a lot because I already had clear the number of pieces and the process of making it in general.
My niece chose a sky blue color since it would be in the morning the graduation ceremony, I totally agreed with the color and in total there were two meters of fabric that took this beautiful design.
Por supuesto luego de cotar el modelo en papel me fui a la tela saqué una pieza delantera desde el busto hasta el largo total del vestido, también saqué una pieza trasera que solo va de la cintura hasta el largo del vestido.
Of course after sketching the model on paper I went to the fabric I took out a front piece from the bust to the total length of the dress, I also took out a back piece that only goes from the waist to the length of the dress.
Luego me fui a la pieza trasera y le coloqué un forro en el área del pompis, para luego marcar y coser el elástico delgado que formará el ruche en esa área.
I then went to the back piece and placed a lining in the pompom area, then marked and sewed the thin elastic that will form the ruching in that area.
Luego coloqué un forro en la parte superior de la pieza delantera y cosí la pieza delantera a la trasera.
Then I placed a lining on top of the front piece and sewed the front piece to the back piece.
Lo último fue coser una pieza e la parte del busto, esta pieza solo va cocida a la parte delantera ya que la trasera solo tiene una tira delgada para sujetar los extremos del busto.
The last thing was to sew a bust piece, this piece is only sewn to the front since the back has only a thin strip to hold the ends of the bust.
Llegó mi sobrina 5 días antes del acto de grado para medirse el vestido (ella vive en otra ciudad) le quedó un poco largo del talle o frente, por suerte sólo tuve que ajustar ese detalle porque del resto le quedó perfecto.
My niece arrived 5 days before the graduation ceremony to measure her dress (she lives in another city) and it was a little long in the front, luckily I only had to adjust that detail because the rest was perfect.
Y así se fue y lució hermosa en su día feliz para ella y para toda la familia.
And so she left and looked beautiful on her happy day for her and the whole family.
