Greetings, community, yesterday June 13, 2025, I attended the school where my daughter Rogmary studies, because there was the celebration in honor of the Saint Saint Anthony of Padua and Father's Day. I went because my husband went on a trip and my daughter was going to dance the son "little by little" in the tamunangue, this is a cultural manifestation of the state of Lara.
The activity began at about 9:00 am in the morning with the presentation of the saint San Antonio de Padua to everyone by the culture teacher. The tamunangue began with the salve to continue with the other dance movements, when it was my daughter's turn to dance, I enjoyed it.
A song was sung to the parents called "Cantaré para papá" (I will sing for daddy); its lyrics are beautiful, I don't know the author of it. It is about how their children see their father as their protector, the one who defends them from whatever may happen, and if their father is there, they are not afraid of anyone.
There were also games in which the parents participated, such as the sack race and the three-foot race, which consisted of tying the braids of father and son and jumping until they reached the finish line. There was a rally with obstacles and ball throwing, and prizes were awarded to the winners; they were given socks, shorts and flannel.
They gave out tizana and bread, which represent provision, generosity, and raffled a razor. With that it was all over, I took pictures for the memory with my daughters and from there we went home happy.

Saludos, comunidad, ayer 13 de junio de 2025, asistí a la escuela donde estudia mi hija Rogmary, porque había la celebración en honor al Santo San Antonio de Padua y el día del padre. Fui porque mi esposo se fue de viaje y mi hija iba a bailar el son “”poco a poco" en el tamunangue este es una manifestación cultural del estado Lara.
La actividad empezó como a las 9:00 am de la mañana con la presentación del santo San Antonio de Padua a todos por parte de la profesora de cultura. Inicio el tamunangue con la salve para seguir con los demás movimientos de danza, cuando le toco bailar a mi hija, me lo disfruté.
Se les cantó una canción a los padres llamada “Cantaré para papá”; su letra es hermosa, desconozco, el autor de la misma. Trata de que sus hijos ven al papá como el protector, el que los defiende de lo que pueda suceder, y si está el papá no le temen a nadie.
También se hicieron juegos donde participaron los padres, como la carrera de saco y la carrera tres pies, que consistía en amarrarse las trenzas padre e hijo e ir saltando hasta llegar a la meta. Se dio el rally con obstáculos y lanzamiento del balón, las premiaciones fueron para los ganadores; se les regalaron medias, short y franela.
Repartieron tizana y pan que representan provisión, generosidad, y rifaron una máquina de afeitar. Con esto terminó todo, me tomé fotos para el recuerdo con mis hijas y de ahí nos fuimos para la casa alegres.
