한국인 친구가 "우리 나라에서도 그런 걸 경험하게 해주고 싶어."라고 했어요. "어떻게 하면 좋을까?"라고 물었더니, 현우가 "한국에 가면 어떨까?"라고 제안했어요. 친구가 한국 음식을 맛보게 해 주고, 한국의 전통과 추석을 직접 볼 수 있게 해 주겠다고 했어요. 추석은 우리나라 추수감사절과 비슷한 명절이거든요.

"정말 멋질 것 같아요. 김치 담그는 법도 배우고 다도에도 참여하고 싶어요. 사찰에도 가보고 싶어요. 거기서 느끼는 평화는 그 무엇과도 비교할 수 없을 거예요." 형우가 덧붙였다.

# ***Cultural connections between two countries***.
In a restaurant in my hometown, Barquisimeto, I sat down with my friend Hyun-woo. During the conversation we talked about his culture and reflections on life.
While we were enjoying a delicious chicken, I decided to ask about my friend's values. Hyun-woo, watching Korean TV shows, I've seen that your culture values family and respect so much. What else is more important to you?
Hyun-woo told me: I value group building and friendship is essential. Supporting each other creates a fulfilling and happy life.
My Korean friend told me I want you to experience that in my country. I asked him: how would we do that?
Hyun-woo pointed out that we could travel to Korea. I would take you to taste the food, you would also have direct contact with the traditions and with chuseok which is like thanksgiving here.

As we talked, I realised that we shared not only experiences, but values that strengthened the friendship. The connection between the two of us deepened and every conversation is a bond that unites our countries.
I agreed with Hyng-woo that we would make this trip to Korea together to experience this adventure and strengthen our friendship.

# ***Conexiones culturales entre dos paises***.
En un restaurante de mi ciudad, Barquisimeto, me senté junto a mi amigo Hyun-woo. Durante la conversación platicamos sobre su cultura y reflexiones sobre la vida.
Mientras disfrutábamos de un rico pollo, decidí preguntarle sobre los valores de mi amigo. Hyun-woo, viendo series coreanas, he visto que tu cultura se valora tanto la familia y el respeto. ¿Qué otra cosa es más importante es para ti?
Hyun-woo me expresó: valoro mucho el hacer grupo y la amistad es esencial. El apoyo de unos a otros genera una vida satisfactoria y feliz.
Mi amigo coreano me dijo quiero que experimentes eso en mi país. Le pregunté: ¿cómo lo haríamos?
Hyun-woo señaló podríamos viajar a Corea . Te llevaría a degustar de la comida, también tendrías un contacto directo con las tradiciones y con el chuseok que es como el día de acción de gracias aquí .

A medida que hablábamos, me di cuenta de que compartíamos no solo vivencias, sino valores que fortalecían la amistad. La conexión entre los dos se volvió más profunda y cada conversación es un vínculo que une a nuestros países.
