On this occasion, I want to share with you my participation for day 31, this last day of #zingtober. Once again, I was a bit pressed for time, but I took advantage of the early morning hours to do this illustration, as I really wanted to create it.

Since I saw the prompt, an idea had already occurred to me that I didn't want to miss. To carry it out, I chose the character Drazing, who would be holding the great Holozing trophy and celebrating the culmination of this grand event.

I hope you like this version and without further ado, I leave you with my process!

En esta ocasión quiero compartir con ustedes mi participación del día 31 de este ultimo día del #zingtober. Una vez más estuve algo apretando con el tiempo, pero aproveché la madrugada para hacer esta ilustración, ya que realmente tenía muchas ganas de hacerla.
Desde que vi el prompt ya se me había ocurrido una idea que no quería dejar pasar. Para llevarla a cabo elegí al personaje de Drazing, quien estaría sosteniendo el gran trofeo de Holozing y celebrando la culminación de este gran evento.

Creative Process | Proceso Creativo📘✏️

✒️Sketch and Lineart :

I opened my canvas and started working on the sketch, beginning with the line of action to place the character and establish the pose. Then I built the character along with the trophy. Finally, I cleaned up the lines to define the line art.

Abrí mi lienzo y comencé a trabajar en el boceto, iniciando con la línea de acción para ubicar al personaje y establecer la pose. Luego fui construyendo al personaje junto al trofeo. Finalmente, limpié las líneas para definir el lineart.

🎨Base Colors :

I applied a fill layer to the entire character, then I gradually applied tones in grayscale, playing with the values to generate contrast within the composition.

Apliqué una capa de relleno en todo el personaje, luego fui aplicando tonos en escala de grises, jugando con los valores para generar contraste dentro de la composición.

🌄Application of Shadows and Environment :

Afterwards, I used a soft brush to create the first layer of shadows on the character, which helped me quickly establish the light direction and define volume. Then, with a harder brush, I worked on the darker shadows, blurring them with the smudge tool to achieve a variation in tones. I also added a drop shadow to place the character in the space.

Después utilicé un pincel suave para crear la primera capa de sombras en el personaje, lo cuál me ayudó a establecer rápidamente la dirección de la luz y a definir volumen. Luego con un pincel más duro, trabajé en las sombras más oscuras, difuminándolas con la herramienta dedo para lograr una variación en los tonos. También añadí una sombra paralela para ubicar al personaje en el espacio.

✨Application of Lights, Background and Final Details :

To finish up with the character, I decided to add some rim light, especially on the trophy, since it is a very shiny and light-reflective object. To give it some more detail, I chose to include the Holozing logo in the center of it.

Para finalizar con el personaje, decidí agregarle algo de luz de reflejo, especialmente en el trofeo, por ser un objeto muy brillante y reflectante de luz. Para darle algo más de detalle, opté por incluir el logo de holozing en el centro de este.

Finally, I added the final details and worked a bit more on the background. I put a chain and an engraving on the trophy to make it look more luxurious and eye-catching. Lastly, I added a kind of scattered shapes throughout the space to give a fun and festive effect, reinforcing this celebration.

Finalmente agregué los detalles finales y trabaje un poco más en el fondo. Al trofeo le coloqué una cadena y un grabado para que se viera más lujoso y llamativo. Por último añadí una especie de formas dispersas por el espacio para dar un efecto divertido y festivo, reforzando está celebración.
