The Padma riverbank in Fultola, Rajshahi, has been reborn after ten years, a truly amazing natural change. The sand, gentle waves, and open sky of the Padma riverbank create a beach-like atmosphere.
After ten years, a vast beach on the banks of the Padma River near Fultola Ghat in Rajshahi has been revived. As the water level of the Padma River recedes at the beginning of winter, the beach has become visible, looking much like a sea beach.
The vast sandy plains of the river island, the sound of gentle waves, and the view of the sunset under the open sky, all combine to make this a place of unique natural beauty. Locals say that although this sandbar has been awakening in a small area since winter, it has been almost ten years since such a large char has awakened.
Boating has been facing some problems due to the river island. The water level has already receded, and the depth of the river has decreased where there is still water, so the boats of the boatmen are sometimes getting stuck in the shallows, which is increasing the time it takes to cross.Local boatmen said that now they have to navigate through narrow paths, where boats are getting stuck after a while.
Since there are very few tourist places in Rajshahi and the number of students in Rajshahi is high since it is an educational city, the tourists who visit this river island are mostly students. Whether it is a lover or a group of friends, now everyone goes to the banks of the Fultola padmar whenever they get some time, to walk the sandy path.
It is more crowded here in the afternoon because everyone can see a beautiful sunset. It takes about twenty minutes to walk to the river and everyone can dip their feet in the river water and get a little touch of peace.
Although the rains are increasing, the rainy season has arrived, I hope that the river will soon flow again in a new way, following the rhythm of its old waves.
But now, it's not bad to see the river in this form, change is the law of nature, as we all say.
