Admirando los nuevos murales en mi ciudad.// Admiring the new murals in my city.

## Feliz día mis amigos, espero que estén muy bien, y que su semana este pasando de manera tranquila y puedan lograr todo lo que se propongan, paso por acá para compartir con todos, una salida al casco histórico de la ciudad donde vivo, Cumaná, Venezuela, Cumaná, es una ciudad con mucha historia, y tiene un casco histórico, con espacios muy bonitos, plazas, casas de personajes históricos que fueron muy importantes, para nuestra ciudad, museos, hace algunas semanas, se realizo un concurso de murales en esta parte de la ciudad, pienso que estuvo muy acertada, aplaudo este tipo de iniciativas, pues fomentan y le dan valor al talento que hay en esta ciudad y el resto del país, además nos hace darnos cuenta de la belleza que tenemos en frente y muchas veces no valoramos, no pudimos asistir esos días, en los que se realizo, el concurso, pero, en estos días, me fui con mi pequeña hija y mi esposo, a caminar y admirar estos murales.

## Los murales que pintaron, fueron en su mayoría, de cultores populares y entidades históricas, que representan nuestra cultura, la verdad todos están muy hermosos, fueron al rededor de 10 murales, mas o menos, hubo una parte, que no pudimos visitar por falta de tiempo, solo pudimos caminar por el centro del casco histórico, Micaela estaba muy emocionada, pensamos que quizás se podia aburrir un poco, pero fue todo lo contrario, le encanto cada mural que pudimos observar, además de correr y saltar por la plaza jaja, creo que es importante irle enseñando, la historia de nuestra ciudad, de nuestros ante pasados, hay muchos sitios, que nos hacen revivir la historia de personajes importantes, y forman parte de lo que conocí en mi infancia, así que quiero que Micaela también las conozca, por los momentos empezamos por acá, y por lo que vi, se mostro interesada, preguntando por algunos personajes que vimos en los murales.

## Disfrutamos mucho de esta salida, es impresionante todo el arte y el talento que tenemos, además esta demostrado que cuando nos unimos en pro, a hacer arte, a embellecer una ciudad, se deja una huella, y una prueba de que, cuando se hacen las cosas con amor, y entrega, todo sale mucho mejor, este trabajo, sin duda quedo hermoso, este día que fuimos, habían varias personas, tomándose fotos, y recorriendo estas calles, que hace algún tiempo estaban abandonadas, por ejemplo hay un callejón, que las personas le pusieron el nombre de, el callejón del alacrán, estaba muy abandonado, botaban basura, y la verdad daba un poco de miedo cruzar por este callejón, ahora lo han recuperado por completo, quedo mucho más bonito, con flores, murales, espero que sigan estas iniciativas, que las personas valoren el trabajo que se realizo, y cuiden estas áreas, tan importantes, todavía me falto la otra parte del casco histórico, que también tenia murales hermosos, espero poder mostrárselos en otra oportunidad.

I'm stopping by to share with everyone a trip to the historic center of the city where I live, Cumaná, Venezuela. Cumaná is a city steeped in history, and has a historic center with beautiful spaces, plazas, houses of historical figures who were very important to our city, and museums. A few weeks ago, a mural contest was held in this part of the city. I think it was a very successful initiative. I applaud these kinds of initiatives, as they foster and value the talent in this city and the rest of the country. It also makes us realize the beauty we have in front of us, which we often don't appreciate. We weren't able to attend the contest on those days, but these days, I went out with my little daughter and my husband to walk and admire these murals. murals.

## The murals they painted were mostly of folklore artists and historical figures that represent our culture. They were all really beautiful. There were around 10 murals, more or less. There was one part we couldn't visit due to lack of time; we could only walk through the historic center. Micaela was very excited. We thought she might get a little bored, but it was quite the opposite. She loved every mural we saw, as well as running and jumping around the plaza. Haha. I think it's important to teach her about the history of our city, about our ancestors. There are many places that make us relive the history of important figures, and they are part of what I knew in my childhood. So I want Micaela to get to know them too. For now, we started here, and from what I saw, she seemed interested, asking about some of the figures we saw in the murals.

## We really enjoyed this outing. It's impressive how much art and talent we have. It's also proven that when we come together to create art and beautify a city, we leave a mark. This is proof that when things are done with love and dedication, everything turns out much better. This work was undoubtedly beautiful. On the day we went, there were several people taking photos and walking through these streets, which had been abandoned for some time. For example, there's an alley that people named Scorpion Alley. It was very neglected, they were throwing trash, and it was honestly a little scary to walk through. Now they've completely restored it. It's much more beautiful, with flowers and murals. I hope these initiatives continue, that people value the work that was done and take care of these important areas. I still missed the other part of the historic center, which also had beautiful murals. I hope to be able to show them to you another time. opportunity.
