Halloween or not?

This is my attempt to answer this week's questions.

We don't decorate the garden for Halloween. Although this holiday, like many other holidays and customs, was imported into our country. It probably took root in more urban areas, suburban neighborhoods. Since I live in the countryside, things are difficult to accept here. In our country,we have current mackare-korindjasi but that's for Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, Christmas trees are lit all over the village. Children and adults dress up and go from house to house singing songs. The host treats them with apples, nuts, candies... Of course there are scary masks. The goal is to disguise yourself so that no one recognizes you. I promise I'll make a post about it for Christmas Eve. According to our calendar, that's January 6th.

I grow pumpkins, even big ones But this year I have a disaster with pumpkins, I only got two and they are tambourine pumpkins. Personally, I make various patterns and designs on pumpkins and squash Primarily because of my son, but this year I'm short on materials so I'll have to borrow some pumpkins from my uncle

Although there are stories about witches and ghosts in our culture. I don't know of any that are related to the garden. I know about house ghosts, fairies by the well and many scary stories or less scary ones, but I don't remember a single story related to the garden.

I don't consider myself a garden witch. I mean, I don't have any creepy things in the garden. Except for the occasional scarecrow to scare away crows. But I don't do that anymore. Although there is one idea that I plan to implement. Since I'm an electrician, I plan to implement a few spotlights in the garden. While watering at night, I noticed that there are no mosquitoes at all after a certain time and it's much more pleasant to work. So in the evening, besides watering, I could do something. And get a comment from the neighbor, "look at that crazy guy" :)

Thanks for reading. Until next time. Stay healthy. Markone85
