It's been about 5-6 years since I started an orchard at the end of my garden At first there were only a few apples and quinces. Now they bear fruit, depending on the year. Every year I've expanded the orchard and added new fruit trees. Because of the poor soil, salty soil.At the end of the garden is such land I decided to plant an orchard so that only the points where the orchard was well fertilized and watered Actually, my idea was to have half the garden be an orchard and half a garden. I managed to do that, I got halfway there with fruit. Although I still have place in the orchard to add new fruit trees. Today I counted them and I have a total of 32 fruit trees in the orchard. There are apples, plums, wild plums, quince, medlars, pears, sour cherries, mulberries, cherries, fig...
* One apple was broken by the storm but managed to recover
And I still have a total of 19 fruit trees in the yard and front garden. When I finish the orchard plan, it will be over 60 fruit trees. Plus I have 7-8 cypress and albizia trees. A real little jungle.
They are predicting several warm and sunny days. So, I decided to cut the grass in the orchard.
Because of the soil and the dry year, the grass is not large.
So I can't mow manually.I used a lawnmower.
I collect the grass clippings in a pile and dry them for hay.
When the hay dries, I put it in the shed and in the winter I throw it in the chicken coop.
Autumn is coming and the vegetable season is over, I don't need hay for the garden, so I can collect it for the winter for the chickens.
If I calculated correctly, sour cherries and cherries should be born next year.
