I've already reached the seventh report Although I don't write on a weekly basis, it will be more like every ten days.
This year, the arrival of the tambourine pumpkins took a while.
I can't wait.
But considering that they survived the drought, then the lack of pollinators. Well, the first pumpkin that started died due to the heat wave.
Now I have two that I'm waiting for. I visit them regularly.
Although it seems to me that the tambourine pumpkins are somehow stagnating.Maybe the whole year doesn't suit her.
I like to eat pumpkin tambourine, as a salad, especially when mixed with sweet potatoes, or baked in the oven.
I placed hay all around the pumpkins to reduce the effect of evaporation. I even added natural nutrition through the leaves.
What pleasantly surprised me was the home-grown pumpkin - ludaja.
Although I was late with planting, it managed to grow quickly.
I planted it at the same time as the melons and watermelons, my little experiment.
I hope they will manage to reach the first frosts.
The last few years, October has been nice and warm and the frosts only start at the end of November.Which gives me enough time to start sowing in early August.Climatic conditions are changing and I am trying to adapt.Because if I don't try something, I won't even know if it works or not.
Let's get back to the Ludaya pumpkin, it grew quickly, formed large leaves, bloomed soon, I expect small pumpkins to start growing.
I put it in order, installed hay and a watering system.
I fed it through a leaf with milk.
I prefer homemade milk that you dilute in a ratio of 10 liters of water to a liter of milk.
In our village there are people where you can buy fresh milk.
You can also buy pasteurized milk, but you have to reduce the water to 5 liters.
This concludes my post today to continue supporting and sharing this wonderful 2025 Pumpkin Challenge, sponsored by @der-prophet and @hive-world-champ.
Thanks for reading. Until next time. Stay healthy.
