September

Whether to submit a report or not. Whether to stand up or give up. Sometimes I feel that way. But the garden, like life, is an eternal struggle in which the one who wants to stand out will win. September has begun, and so has the harvest, but always the but. Let's start with the good news. The fig tree has borne fruit well and I pick 5-6 figs every day. Since my family doesn't like figs, they are a treat just for me. I don't complain :) 20250905_183220.jpg The pears have started to turn yellow, it's just a matter of days before they'll be ready to harvest. The ladder I made for the pear tree did a great job. Not a single branch broke. I was afraid the branches would break, a small pear with small branches and lots of fruit. Lots of fruit for such a small one. But so far so good.

20250905_183244.jpg The pumpkin is also turning yellow, and I have a few young shoots. I will write more about them in my report for Hive Pumpkin World Championships 20250905_184258.jpg

The peppers are excellent, the harvest is well underway Beautiful red 20250905_204028.jpg

There are still tomatoes, although the fruit is smaller now. We pick the raspberries that arrive in the aisle. There aren't many of them, but they did well. My late experiment with watermelons and melons, I think, is half-hearted. I follow every day. Late planting is in question. And now we come to the bad news Regarding the orchard

The Japanese apple tree has dried up. I suspected for a long time but now it is definitely visible that it has suffered. Also, one of the pear trees in the garden seems to have dried up.

And not only that, the cherries. The cherries look as if someone has scorched the leaves with fire.

The heat wave has passed, but it is still warm, around 32 degrees Celsius. The problem is that it has not rained well for a long time. A few drops are falling. So I am forced to water the entire garden and orchard.

Thanks for reading. Until next time. Stay healthy.
