___Happy sunday dears friends of WEEKENDEXPERIENCES!___❤️
I hope you're enjoying a peaceful Sunday. Here's my contribution to the weekend's events; my chosen topic is the following:
> You have a heart attack but survive...what things do you change about your life and why?

This is a question that makes us think quite a bit. My answer, without hesitation, would be diet. This is one of the factors that most affects our health, especially our heart, since everything bad we ingest becomes harmful to our body, causing our heart to gradually stop functioning properly.
One of the things I appreciate most about social media is that it allows us to learn about many things we may not have known before, including different ways to take care of our health. I really like a YouTube channel by a renowned doctor, who has since passed away, but left us his legacy of knowledge to apply to our lives. It's called Metabolism TV, by Dr. Fran Suárez. Through it, we have access to a wealth of information on how to take care of our health. Currently, I follow many of this famous doctor's tips, and although I don't follow a strict diet, I do try to eat much healthier than before. Diets are often very expensive, but by making the effort, we can try to improve our eating habits.

Along with my diet, I would also change my lifestyle a lot. From my parents, I've learned that one of the things that keeps you active, no matter your age, is exercise. My mother has suffered two strokes recently, but like the good woman she is, she hasn't stopped her daily routine of chores and walks, and this is what has helped her overcome such a serious health problem. Unlike my father, who also suffered a stroke and is much more sedentary, it has been much harder for him to recover. That's where I see the difference that diet and exercise make, and that's why these would be the main things I would change in my life if I were to suffer a heart attack and survive.

And as I've thought about it many times, I'm already halfway there, I'm over 40 and many ailments are starting to affect my body, but the difference lies in whether you decide to give up or whether you encourage yourself and keep going, fighting and combating all these ailments. As a woman, I think these age-related ailments are stronger, since in addition to age, we're affected by the strong hormonal changes we experience when menopause arrives. But for this, we must be very brave and not let ourselves be defeated by the ailments and the fear!
