Today I want to share with you my entry for this month's contest: 🍍 October Contest: Tropical Vibes (Hivefest 10 Inspired) 🌺 > > It's motivating to be able to celebrate VIHEFEST from so far away and make creations inspired by nature. Personally, I love plants, and along with them, the beautiful flowers they give us. That's why today I want to share with you a lovely idea for making a flower keychain. Join me and I'll share the step-by-step instructions: Me gustaría mucho formar parte de este tipo de eventos y compartir y conocer a tantos amigos HIVE, tristemente me encuentro muy lejos, ya que mi país de residencia es Venezuela y está al otro lado de donde se realizará este evento, pero que mejor manera de celebrar que compartiendo parte de mis trabajos, el crochet es un arte que nos permite crear cosas increíbles, es por esto que quise crear un lindo llavero con motivos de flores y lucirlo para este importante evento, aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar: - estambre del color de su preferencia - agujas de tejer - tijeras - llavero > I would really like to be part of this type of events and share and meet so many HIVE friends, sadly I am very far away, since my country of residence is Venezuela and it is on the other side of where this event will be held, but what better way to celebrate than sharing some of my work, crochet is an art that allows us to create incredible things, this is why I wanted to create a beautiful keychain with flower motifs and show it off for this important event, here is the list of materials to use: > > - Yarn in the color of your choice > - Knitting needles > - Scissors > - Key ring Para comenzar voy a utilizar estambre en color verde oscuro, mi cámara al tomar fotografías con este hilo me las convierte en color marrón, pero quiero aclarar que el hilo es de color verde, sólo que es bastante oscuro, y por más que traté de enfocar bien, era muy difícil lograr que se viera el color exacto del hilo. Vamos a comenzar haciendo un aro mágico seguido de 8 puntos, cerramos el aro, subimos una cadena y hacemos puntos bajos, aumentando cada 3 puntos, en total serán 3 aumentos, cerramos esa vuelta levantamos un punto y hacemos puntos bajos, igual haciendo un aumento cada 3 puntos y cerramos la vuelta, luego vamos a hacer 30 cadenas, doblamos esta tira que formamos y cerramos en el mismo punto donde comenzó, esto es con la intención de dejar una tira para anudar al llavero, puedes dejarla de largo de tu preferencia. > To start, I'm going to use dark green yarn. When my camera takes pictures with this yarn, it turns them brown. But I want to clarify that the yarn is green, but it's quite dark. No matter how hard I tried to focus, it was very difficult to get the exact color of the yarn. > > Let's start by making a magic loop followed by 8 stitches. You can leave it as long as you prefer. En el siguiente paso vamos a comenzar con el hilo amarillo, ingresamos en el primer. Punto y hacemos tres cadenas, seguimos haciendo 4 puntos altos de 3 lazadas agarrándolas en el segundo punto, seguimos con 3 cadenas y cerramos el pétalo con un punto deslizado, cada pétalo, ocupará… Del centro de la flor, así seguimos hasta completar toda la vuelta, en total, la flor me quedó con 8 pétalos. > In the next step we're going to start with the yellow yarn, we enter in the first stitch and make three chains, we continue making 4 double crochets of 3 loops grabbing them in the second stitch, we continue with 3 chains and we close the petal with a slip stitch, each petal will occupy... Para el siguiente paso, voy a hacer una rama con una flor más pequeña, vamos a hacer un aro mágico con 8 puntos, seguido hacemos otra vuelta de puntos bajos haciendo 2 aumentos, luego subimos 20 cadenas, seguimos con 3 más y nos devolvemos en el segundo punto. Haciendo un punto alto, 4 puntos altos de tres lazadas, otro punto alto y finalizamos con un punto deslizado. We do the same procedure as we did with the large flower, except that since this one has fewer stitches, the center will be smaller. In total, I got five petals. Ya para finalizar le coloqué algunos detalles, mi hija tiene unas cuentas para hacer pulseras de letras. Le pedí que me obsequiara el nombre de Hive, lo coloqué en uno de los hilos, sobrantes de la parte de atrás, junto a unas perlitas blancas, a la flor más grande le coloqué tres perlitas en el centro para poder unir la rama con la flor más pequeña y así se verá más bonita, con la tira que dejé en la flor grande. Voy a anudar al llavero y ya con esto está listo este lindo llavero de flores, espero les haya gustado. > Finally, I added a few details. My daughter has some beads to make letter bracelets. I asked her to give me Hive's name. I placed it on one of the leftover threads from the back, along with some white pearls. I added three pearls in the center of the largest flower so I could connect the branch to the smaller flower, and it will look prettier with the strip I left on the large flower. I'm going to tie it to the keychain, and with that, this cute flower keychain is ready. I hope you liked it.
