___Saludos queridos amigos de HIVE DIY___! ❤️ Conoces la técnica del Patchwork?, esta es una de las técnicas que más me gusta en la costura ya que con ella podemos hacer infinidad de modelos y combinaciones de telas y aprovechar todos esos retazos que nos sobran en nuestros trabajos de costura y hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la idea para hacer un lindo Patchwork como funda de un cojín, acompáñame y te comparto el paso a paso: > Greetings, dear friends of HIVE DIY! ❤️ > > Do you know the patchwork technique? This is one of my favorite sewing techniques because it allows us to create countless patterns and fabric combinations, making use of all those leftover scraps from our sewing projects. Today I want to share with you the idea for making a beautiful patchwork cushion cover. Join me as I share the step-by-step instructions: Desde hace un tiempo estoy viendo una de las sillas que utilizamos en mi hogar para ver televisión la cual le colocamos un retazo de esponja y así quedó por mucho tiempo, había querido hacerle una funda, pero siempre postergamos algunos proyectos, entonces decidí ponerme manos a la obra y hacerle una linda funda a este cojín con la técnica del patchwork, esta es una de mis primeras técnicas empleadas en la costura, en lo personal me gusta muchísimo ya que con ella reutilizamos todos esos retazos de tela que nos van sobrando de los trabajos que hacemos en la costura y aparte podemos hacer infinidad de diseños hermosos y lo mejor de esta técnica es que no te vas a preocupar si estas telas combinan o no, con esta técnica todo es válido 🤭, Aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar: - retazos de telas variadas de diferentes colores y diseños - Tijeras - Cinta métrica - Hilos - Tiza o lápiz para marcar - Máquina de coser > For some time now, I've been eyeing up one of the chairs we use at home to watch TV, which we put a piece of sponge on, and it's stayed that way for a long time. I've wanted to make a cover for it, but we always put off some projects, so I decided to get started and make a beautiful cover for this cushion using the patchwork technique. This is one of my first techniques used in sewing. I personally like it a lot because with it we reuse all those fabric scraps that we have leftover from our sewing projects. Besides, we can make countless beautiful designs. The best thing about this technique is that you won't have to worry about whether the fabrics match or not. With this technique, anything goes 🤭. Here's the list of materials to use: > > - Scraps of various fabrics in different colors and designs > - Scissors > - Tape measure > - Threads > - Chalk or pencil for marking > - Sewing machine Vamos a comenzar dándole la forma a los retazos de tela, para esta funda escogí los retazos de telas suaves pero que no sean elásticas, aprovecharé un retazo largo de tela que me quedó de una sábana, cortaré muchos cuadrados pequeños y varios cuadrados grandes, la idea es hacer una secuencia en combinación con todos estos retazos, para la forma de mi funda la haré tipo bolsillo de manera que lo pueda quitar con facilidad para poder lavarla. > Let's start by shaping the fabric scraps. For this cover, I chose scraps of soft fabrics that aren't stretchy. I'll use a long scrap of fabric that I had left over from a sheet. I'll cut a lot of small squares and several large squares. The idea is to make a sequence in combination with all these scraps. For the shape of my cover, I'll make it like a pocket so that I can easily remove it for washing. En este paso vamos a unir todos nuestros retazos con costura, uniré de dos en dos los cuadrados grandes que corté, aparte uniré varios retazos pequeños, estos tienen un aproximado de 8 cm de ancho por 10 cm de largo, la funda para el cojín debe tener un aproximado de 2 m de largo ya que el cojín mide 1 m y la idea es que queden dos pestañas por la parte de atrás > In this step we are going to join all our scraps with sewing, I will join two by two the large squares that I cut, separately I will join several small scraps, these are approximately 8 cm wide by 10 cm long, the cushion cover should be approximately 2 m long since the cushion measures 1 m and the idea is to have two tabs on the back Luego de tener todos los retazos ya unidos vamos a colocar sobre la pieza de esponja para ver si el tamaño está perfecto, en algunos lados tuve que añadirle otro retazo de tela para que pudiera darme el ancho, al medirlo sobre la esponja vi que estaba perfecto así que decidí hacerle ruedo en ambos extremos y luego pasar costura uniendo por los costados, vamos a doblar hacia dentro de manera que formemos una abertura para poder quitar y poner esta funda fácilmente > After having all the scraps already joined, we are going to place them on the piece of sponge to see if the size is perfect. On some sides I had to add another piece of fabric so that it could give me the width. When I measured it on the sponge I saw that it was perfect, so I decided to hem it on both ends and then sew it together on the sides. We are going to fold it inwards so that we form an opening to be able to easily remove and put on this cover. Ya para finalizar le coloco la funda al retazo de esponja, me encanta el resultado, es increíble el uso maravilloso que le podemos dar a todos esos retazos de tela que sobran de los proyectos de costura, y lo más lindo es que no importa el diseño o el color ya que todos juntos se ven muy bien, 👍 > Finally, I put the cover on the sponge scrap. I love the result.
