I've always believed that every human being is unique, which makes us authentic, original, and unrepeatable individuals.
Although we should never overlook the factors that influence the formation of concepts and characteristics that ultimately define us.
The society in which we live—that is, the media we interact with, our family and emotional circle, our financial solvency—form the parts of a whole that constructs or deconstructs our concepts and the way we behave in life.
What we are able to reflect on, for most people, positively or negatively, will ultimately make the difference.
Considering that opinions are as relative as they are diverse, we cannot assert a premise as an absolute truth. Whatever we do or say will be perceived by those who receive it in different ways, so we must act as closely as possible to our own concepts, satisfactions, and principles.
I began by saying that today is a special day for me because it marks another anniversary of my mother's death. But I want to remember her without sadness. What better way than to recall her teachings, which she knew how to teach me and which are useful to me, even on the difficult path of life.
The poverty in which my mother was born and lived prevented her from achieving a high level of education, but she possessed a natural intelligence and an ethic that she knew how to reach her children.
I remember she always had a phrase for me, which penetrated my conscience like an inviolable law:
"Daughter, be yourself, don't imitate anyone." A short but concrete phrase, with an invaluable lesson, at least that's how I see it.
We often wear ourselves out or get overwhelmed by fashion or superfluous tastes, and we put off seemingly small things that can be a source of enrichment for the mind and spirit.
For example, my mother didn't like receiving fresh flowers as gifts, and it's not because she didn't like flowers; she always grew them in a beautiful garden.
Her theory was that flowers were to be admired on the plant itself; to cut them was to cut short life, mutilate them, and selfishly deprive others of admiring their beauty.
I confess that I'm not as pure as my mother. I love receiving flowers as gifts, although I did learn from her the desire to grow them in my yard.
I believe, as I said before, that God created us as unique beings, totally different from one another and at the same time with some similarity, physically and spiritually.
Now, although there are laws to follow, which oblige and subjugate us, although there are basic canons that we are forced to comply with, sometimes more for the sake of the people we love than for ourselves, we must be mindful of ourselves.
Breaking rules, transgressing norms, violating patterns, and clinging as strongly as humanly possible to who we are or believe ourselves to be.
I think that knowing ourselves to be unique because of the approval or recognition of the universe around us responds more to our ego than to our own conscience.
I will never tire of raising awareness that what makes us special is giving everything, as humanly possible, and not realizing we are doing it, because it comes from the sincerity of a completely pure soul, being a part of our neighbor like breathing or drinking water. A hug to everyone.

Siempre he creído que cada ser humano es único, lo que nos convierte en individuos auténticos, originales e Irrepetibles.
Aunque no debemos jamas, pasar por alto los factores que influyen en la formación en nosotros de conceptos y características que en definitiva nos definen.
La sociedad en la que nos ha tocado vivir, es decir, los medios con que interactuamos, el círculo familiar y afectivo, la solvencia económica, en fin...forman las partes de un todo que construye o deconstruye nuestros conceptos y la manera de comportarnos ante la vida.
Lo que seamos capaces de reflejar para la mayoría de las personas, de manera positiva o negativa será al final lo que marque la diferencia.
Teniendo en cuenta que las opiniones son tan relativas como diversas, no podemos esgrimir una premisa como una verdad absoluta, lo que hagamos o digamos va a llegar va a ser captado por los receptores de maneras diferentes, entonces debemos actuar con el mayor apego posible a nuestros propios conceptos, satisfacciones y principios.
Empecé diciendo que hoy es un día especial para mí, porque es un aniversario más del fallecimiento de mi madre, pero la quiero recordar, sin tristeza, y que mejor manera que rememorar sus enseñanzas, las que me supo dar y me son útiles, aun, en el difícil camino de la vida.
Mi madre, la pobreza en que nació y vivió no le permitieron alcanzar un nivel de instrucción educativa elevado, pero poseía una inteligencia natural y una ética que supo llegar a sus hijos.
Recuerdo que siempre tenía una frase para mí, que penetró como ley inviolable en mi conciencia:
"Hija, sé tú, no imites a nadie".Frase breve, pero concreta, con una enseñanza invaluable, al menos así lo veo.
Muchas veces nos desgastamos o agobiamos detrás de la moda o de gustos superfluos y postergamos cosas aparentemente pequeñas que pueden ser fuente de enriquecimiento de la mente y del espíritu.
Por ejemplo, a mi madre no le gustaba que le regalaran flores naturales, y no es porque no le gustaran las flores, las cultivó siempre en un hermoso jardín.
Su teoría radicaba en que las flores se admiraban en la planta, cortarlas era tronchar la vida, mutilarlas y egoístamente privar a los demás de admirar su belleza.
Confieso que yo no soy tan pura como mi madre, me encanta que me regalen flores, aunque si aprendí de ella el afán de cultivarlas en mi patio.
Creo, como dije antes, que Dios nos creó como seres únicos, totalmente diferentes los unos de los otros y a la vez con alguna similitud, física y espiritualmente.
Ahora, aunque haya leyes que cumplir, que nos obligan y someten, aunque existan cánones elementales que cumplimos por fuerza, a veces más por personas que amamos que por nosotros, debemos ser conscientes con nosotros mismos.
Romper reglas, transgredir las normas , violar patrones y apegarnos con fuerza, todo lo humano posible a quien somos o creemos ser.
Pienso que sabernos únicos por la aprobación o reconocimiento del universo que nos rodea, responde más a nuestro ego que a la propia conciencia.
No me cansaré de concientizar que lo que nos hace especiales es entregarlo todo, lo humanamente posible y no darnos cuenta que lo hacemos, porque se da desde la sinceridad de un alma totalmente blanca,ser del prójimo como respirar o tomar agua. Un abrazo para todos.
