Un abrazo grande amigos de #greenzone, llego a ustedes con el deseo de que hayan tenido un hermoso día.
Les ofrezco un recorrido que hice en la mañana de hoy ,a través de los ojos en los que confío más que en mis propios ojos, los de mi hijo.
Conocedor de mi predilección por ese lugar de la Habana vieja donde se encontraba, me llevo de la mano de manera virtual.
El lugar no es otro que la antigua Plaza de San Francisco de Asís, un sitio que cada vez que puedo visitar, lo hago, pues la sensación de paz que provoca en mi, es recurrente.
Solamente transitar por su espacio adoquinado, dificultoso para mí, es un placer infinito, andar por entre cientos de palomas que no escapan a la presencia humana,el detalle del suelo se vuelve insignificante.
Y llegar hasta la hermosa Fuente de los Leones que está en su centro es todo un ritual.
Y no es solo la plaza, es todo lo que la rodea, edificaciones coloniales que fueron propiedad de personas con títulos de nobleza, otras de gran significado como la iglesia y el convento cuyo nombre también lleva la plaza.
Edificaciones importantes que aunque no les muestro fotos, forman parte de ese valioso patrimonio, como la Casa Galería de la pintura venezolana Carmen Montilla.
El antiguo edificio de aduanas, que fue remodelado para ser reutilizado como instalación hotelera,o al menos eso escuché, y llevaría ese mismo nombre, allí también está la terminal de cruceros.
El bello edificio de la Lonja de Comercio, que hoy se encuentra reutilizado en otros servicios, la Emisora Habana Radio,hacen del lugar un sitio de admiración para transeúntes.
Sobre todo turistas y es uno de los más bellos y mejor conservados de la Habana, dónde estuvo el empeño y protagonismo la mano del doctor Eusebio Leal.
No solo voy allí a disfrutar, también suelo comparar con la otra cara de la ciudad.
Este lugar y zonas aledañas, donde surgió la ciudad San Cristóbal de la Habana y sin embargo parece que no le ha pasado el tiempo.
Y miro la otra parte, ese otro rostro donde la arquitectura se desploma y se mezcla con la basura de las calles. Lo cierto es que allí, para deleite de todos, frente a la Avenida del Puerto está con todo su encanto, su paz y sus palomas LA PLAZA DE SAN FRANCISCO DE ASÍS.

Knowing my fondness for that spot in Old Havana where it was located, he took me by the hand virtually.

Important buildings, although I won't show you photos, are part of this valuable heritage, such as the House Gallery of the Venezuelan painter Carmen Montilla.
The old customs building, which was remodeled to be reused as a hotel—or so I heard, and would have had that name—is also the location of the cruise terminal.
The beautiful building of the Exchange of Commerce, which is now reused for other services, and the Havana Radio Station, make the place a place of admiration for passersby.
Especially tourists, it is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved in Havana, where the dedication and leadership of Dr. Eusebio Leal were at the forefront.
I don't just go there to enjoy myself; I also often compare it with the other side of the city.
This place and surrounding areas, where the city of San Cristóbal de la Habana emerged, yet it seems as though time has stood still.
And I look at the other side, that other face where the architecture crumbles and blends with the trash in the streets. The truth is that there, to everyone's delight, facing Avenida del Puerto, is the Plaza de San Francisco de Asís, with all its charm, its peace, and its pigeons.
