This time, the craft I'm presenting is a mixed media macramé.
The materials used and the variety of techniques employed in its creation classify it as a collage within the visual arts. Since the main subject of the piece is a cute parrot, I wanted to complete this two-dimensional work with some leaves to create a visual atmosphere of its environment.
MATERIALS
_ A small piece of 2mm plywood. _ A piece of woodworking sandpaper. _ Wood burning tool _ A 30cm cylindrical piece. _ Three shades of thick cotton thread. _ White glue. _ Paper and pencil.

CONSTRUCTION
To make the bird, I sanded the plywood cutout and drew the talking parrot with the pyrography tool. I used the wooden cylinder as a support for my work and began placing the pieces according to the design. The parrot figure, as the main element, is attached to the support with square macrame stitches. The leaves, in three different sizes, are made with thread and have stitches woven in the center using the same technique. All the pieces are hung on the support at a similar distance and length to show the final finish.

Hola queridos amigos de las aves, una vez más en este concurso que convoca la amiga @maiasun84.
En esta ocasión la manualidad que presento es un Macramé de técnicas mixtas. El material utilizado y el uso de variedad en las técnicas para su confección, lo clasifican como un collage,dentro de la plástica. Cómo la figura a destacar en el trabajo es una simpática cotorra, quise completar esta obra bidimensional con unas hojas, para lograr un ambiente visual de su entorno.
MATERIALES
_ Una pequeña recorrería de plywood de 2 mm. _ Pedazo de papel de lija de carpintería. _ Pirografo _ Recorrería cilíndrica de 30 cm. _ Tres tonalidades de hilos de algodón de cabo grueso. _ Pegamento blanco. _ Papel y lápiz.

CONFECCIÓN
Para realizar el ave le di pulimento al recorte de plywood y dibuje la coti parlanchina con el Pirografo. Tomé el cilindro de madera como soporte de mi obra y comencé a colocar las piezas según lo diseñado. La figura de la cotorra como elemento a resaltar está unida al soporte por puntos cuadrados tejido en macramé. Las hojas de tres tamaños diferentes hechas con hilo y en el centro puntos tejidos con la misma técnica. Colgadas todas las piezas en el soporte a una distancia y largo similar, para mostrar su acabado final.
Así les dejo está manualidad, sencilla de hacer y que tendrá para decorar su pared y servir un poco de homenaje pintoresco a nuestras distintivas y encantadoras cotorras cubanas. Hasta pronto.
