Greetings everyone, I welcome you all to my blog. It's another great day to listen to the word of God by his servant Bro Eli Soriano.
Why Do People Die?
The death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ reveal two undeniable truths: every human being will face death, and after death, there will surely be resurrection. Neither can be avoided, for they are part of God's divine plan for humanity.
Acts 17:31 reminds us of this truth: “Because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
This scripture clearly teaches that after death comes judgment. The resurrection of Jesus serves not only as a sign of victory over death but also as a reminder that all will rise and stand before God for judgment.
God has set a specific day for righteous judgment, and no one will escape it. He values justice and has ordained that all souls will give account after life on earth.
Ecclesiastes 8:8 also affirms this truth: “There is no man who has power over the spirit to retain it, nor power on the day of death.” This verse makes us understand that no one can resist death when the appointed time arrives. Whether rich or poor, powerful or weak, no person has control over their moment of departure from this world.
Yet, the Bible also teaches that life can be prolonged by walking in righteousness and reverence toward God. Proverbs 10:27 says: “The fear of the Lord prolongs days, but the years of the wicked will be shortened.” This Scripture shows that honoring God brings life and longevity, while wickedness shortens one's days.
Bro. Eli helped us understand that death is not a punishment but a divine appointment. It is the pathway through which God will bring all humanity to judgment. We live, we die, and then we stand before the righteous Judge who has already set a day for this great event.
