Well, personally I can say that my mornings are never really the same. I have come to notice that how I start my day determines the rest of the day. If my morning begins with chaos, uproar, disturbance and the likes, it's sure that's the rhythm the rest of the morning will follow. So, what do I do....

The first thing I do when I wake up is just sit quietly for a few seconds, then pray. There was a time I'm always up with lot's of prayer points, but nowadays I only thank and appreciate God for everything. I have since stopped the habits of waking up and rushing up to grab my phone. I wake up, appreciate God for a new day to do better. That alone gives me peace enough to navigate the noisy world.
One of the things I like and always do immediately is to put things in order, I tidy up my bed, pick up the clothes I will be wearing for the day, place them neatly on the bed, then sweep. If there's still enough time on my side, I quickly go through my phone to check for news, updates, messages and the likes, then I head to brush my teeth and take my bath.
While doing all of that, I would have been playing some music on my phone, just something uplifting. One thing about me is that, I try as much as possible to not give room for social media to rush me before stepping out. I wake up very very early and do most of these things before stepping out.

I'm not the breakfast type, on rare occasions do I cook before heading out, the most important food to me is dinner, I don't mind not eating since morning, but when it's night time, I must eat o. So, there are some mornings that I put noodles on the fire as I make my way to the bathroom, it's usually done or almost done by the time I return from taking my birth, sometimes it's just biscuits and tea. Another thing about me is I take a look at the mirror before heading out, not just to check myself out, but to reassure myself of my day and that whatever happens out there, I'm still in control of my peace.
And that is all for my morning prep, nothing fancy or perfect, just me being me before facing the unpredictable world outside.
