One Step At A Time: My 2025 Journey.

Huhm, this is just plain reality. Just like yesterday we were shouting happy new year, but then in the space of how long we are already a few months to the end of the year. This year has been a mixture of all for me, yea. There have been answers to my prayers, there have been delays, there have been wonderful moments and there has been some disappointments along the way too.

First off, the best thing I can say happened was that I tried regaining my health back and it did work. I had promised myself to talk a lot of time out to rest, take things slower and listen to my body. And I did just that, though certain days require that I stress myself, but then, it's just a few, I never do too much. It almost seems like I had turned so lazy, but I know better. I don't rush to do big/stressful things, not at all, I do small things that won't get me drained out and support the little way I can. Even with all of that I had even found little ways to do some small charity work. The feeling of healing I can tell you is priceless.

Something else happened just few days ago, the clarion call came. It's time to go for the mandated one year service. I had experienced some delays with it, but now I had seen my call-up letter and number and it's time to make some move. It felt like victory at last. It was much more than being posted to serve, it was proof that it's good to be patient, and as the saying goes, delay is not denial, I had experienced a lot of things over this posting stuff and all, but then here is it. Even though it is coming at a time when my pockets are empty. I trust that I would definitely survive.

I can't but mention this as well, the year came with pain too. I lost a friend to the cold hand of death. It was a friendship I thought would last forever. We had plans, we talked, we share things, but then, life happens. It hurts, but then, what can I do. May his beautiful soul continue to rest in perfect peace. He's a true friend.

So, to the question, did I achieve all my resolutions? Nope. I tried improving in quite a lot of things and some worked, some didn't, like the financial goals I had. There has been some support from people and I appreciate them for that, but there has been hindrances in the way too, they were unexpected things life throws at us. But then, I didn't stay glued, I kept moving forward. Even if it's little, one step at a time.

Well, 2025 has not been wasted. It had given me a lot of lessons, strengths, memories, stories and a whole lot to carry with pride into the coming year...2026.

All pictures are mine.

Thanks for taking your time to read through.
