Stress: The Uninvited Guest.

Huhm, so deep and here's my take on this particular prompt, asking if it were really possible to avoid stress. I don't even know if to say yes or no. I think I should stay in-between or better still, choose no. Because stress will always be a part of our lives, nobody wants it, but just like weed grows near our plants, same way stress comes uninvited. No matter what you are into....work, relationship, schooling and the likes, it will always be present because we will always find ourselves in a situation where something will always demand more from us.

Now, we can entirely say stress is bad, why? There are times that it's what we need to grow, to leave our comfort zone or to take a risk or achieve greatness. A student who has an upcoming exam now has to read through the night, letting go of sleep and some fun moments. His eyes are all tired, he's frustrated and all of those things are stressful, but that is exactly what will shape and discipline him to have the best results.

The real issue now is not stress, but the way we handle it. Some would say they are avoiding it but there's no way you really can.... saying you're avoiding stress is saying you're avoiding responsibilities. You will always come back to it. There's no progress or a change in situation without you first encountering problems. This life, and we know it doesn't work like that, best thing is, when it throws you lemon, make lemonade out of it. It is definitely for your own good. What we need is to learn how to manage it all.

And on a personal note, there are some things I have come to learn, such as surrounding myself with positive people, saying no when it's necessary and the likes. It's not as if those things would make stress disappear, not at all, but it will feel smaller/lighter.

So, if we choose to avoid anything that would stress us, are we really going to get things done? No. Every good and meaningful things in this life comes with it's own form of stress. So the best thing to do is to face it...wisely. And I must add that, if we really want the best of life, we must accept the fact that stress is part of the journey. It's not something we can avoid but we can control how it affect is. The goal shouldn't be living a stressed free life, but to live a well balanced life, where we rest well, work hard, take care of our health and all while breathing and reminding self that even in the midst of chaos, our soul can still find peace.

Stress will always come, we just need to know the best and right approach to it anytime it does.
